Hooptie Rescue says:

it's either pre-ignite or detonate, but not pre-detonate

FYF LIFE says:

Swear I geek out on this stuff man, love these videos!

Just Surf says:

Great video Scotty!

AMPERE MAM says:

More moving parts means more points of failure

hawkermustang says:

Keep it simple st*pid

TRAIN SHIPS says:

Unfortunately only time will tell whether these engines are reliable in the long term or fill up junkyards like Northstar Engines.

sassed1 2many says:

More stuff to break, less people who know how to fix it

Proud AM says:

The only Nissan vehicles I could considering buying are the Nissan Trucks like the Frontier, Titan or Titan XD…..those use regular transmissions not CVT and the trucks are solid….body on frame.

Denny J says:

Somehow I'm reminded of the famous Cadillac 8-6-4 engine…Anyone remember that? This new engine seems a little complex.

Joel Thomas says:

I would not want to be fixing any engine issues, out of warranty. Too much tech & a lot to go wrong.

Domingo De Anda says:

It looks so expensive and it may not last as long

Paul Martin says:

Who is going to buy a Datsun over a Mazda,ROFL.

Hike Ranger says:

Too much technology I wouldn,t pay for it.

kclefthanded 427 says:

More components internally means it demands oil changes at a timely matter. Skipping even one can cost you down the road

m dogg says:

Love how Scotty explains things….but all high tech comes with a price, right? Scotty tells it as it is. Me? Sure I have a newer automobile; but today I set the idle mixture of my '49 Chev with a screwdriver.

Poody Meiner says:

So besides the frontier, which has been very reliable, what other Nissan vehicle jumps out as a reliable, desirable ride compared to others?

Jesus Manuel Duran Calvillo says:

Mr Scott it is possible to make a car go 100 mpg

Scott Blackmill says:

I just can't imagine what could go wrong with this design…<sarcasm>

Lonnie Crook says:

Great work Scotty, as usual! Love your content!

CC Rider says:

They can't work conventional engines. Damn sure they will totally F this up

tac0mang says:

All this studying Nissan does on everything else, but making their awful transmissions actully last. So it really doesn't mean much if your car is always breaking lol

Sneaker Freak 92 says:

What a potential greasy horror show

Valnjes says:

US should switch to metric system. This does not make any sense.
Engine displacement -> in LITERS, but fuel consumption in gallons.
Imagine a L4 engine that has 0.528344 gallons of displacement.
Sounds American, sounds right…

Stephen Sloan says:

TY Scotty. V interesting. Sadly rather technical for me! Must watch again. Nissan and Mazda must be confident about reliability else they wouldn't sell them

Glenn Beadshaw says:

Whilst I'm really impressed that they have actually managed to do this unfortunately it looks just like there's more to go wrong the usual suspect is more moving parts

Ns Ns says:

Hard for me to buy a Nissan when everyone I know with one is replacing their tranny
