Hi Scotty always love your show I had one question I noticed that you tell people to throw toggle switches here and there to make things work I did a lot of that when I was a kid but it always put a lot of heat into the switches in the wires until I always nowadays use relays how come you don't recommend using relays

Hey I bought Toyota avensis made in Europe its had an issue with the gear I have tried to source for one in vain. The issue is the power socket has 13 pins and all I get have 12. The engine is 2AZ. What other engine is compatible

All my Toyota’s blow freezing cold air conditioning.

NeverTalkToCops1 says:

"I bought it (Maverick) for $500, drove it for 8 years, sold it for $200" Today, that would be a Lexus LS 430 with 150000miles for $5000, keep for 8 months, sell for $1500. Scotty and his fantasy anecdotes. I only buy Toyotas made in Brazil and sell in USA as flood damaged cars, because rain forest.

Jane glasgow says:

I think the new Toyotas sold in UK are made in Turkey.

chrissscottt says:

Scotty says never buy a Mexican made Toyota. Personally I'd buy a vehicle made in Mexico over one made in Detroit.

Annie says:

What does it mean when the VIN number says that a car is made in Japan, but when you look up the VIN number it refers to a manufacturing plant in the US? I have seen it on Toyota Land Cruisers and on Toyota Hiaces.
And how hard can it be to make a DC amplifier (a DC step up converter) and a circuit board that keeps working? Why do they stop working on so many cars? Do circuits short because of fluid getting in there? Do capacitors die after a while? If it is the capasitors that keep getting blown, is it because they are getting too high voltage or too high temperatures? Are the capacitors rated at too low voltage or too low temperatures? If those aircondition DC amplifiers keep dying, how hard can it be to make a new type that lasts? And why should the customers always have to pay for these things that stop working? It is not right.

Luiz Bellini says:

Hi @Scotty Kilmer
My soldier, 95 Corolla, keepsthe RPM for long time. If I start, take to long to goes to 900 RPM. If I drive 25 KM on highway, it needs 3 minutes to the RPM goes down to 900.
Car has 332500 KM,
Always change oil and filter every 5000KM and using the recommended oil, Car has new air filter.

What could be?
