I still have my 95 Tercel DX. 4 door, 5 speed manual w/183K! I've replaced the norm (tires twice, battery, brakes, alt, belts) replaced clutch master cylinder…but all else is original…even the muffler! This was my commuter until I retired this year. The first 3 years I owned it I commuted 72 miles one way and if I kept it at 65 mph w/AC on I could get a max of 52 mpg. I then commuted to Staten Island, NY once a week and would get 45 mpg doing 75 mph w/AC. This little thing is a workhorse. ❤

Scotty I own a 2016 Honda Civic and I love my car but I’ve been having problems with rodents eating up all my electricals . Is this a common issue with newer cars? What can I do to prevent this. This is the third time this has happened
I can believe I’m saying this but the Yaris was a much better vehicle.

I had one for a company car back in the mid 1980’s, and it was fine. A dog, but it ran fine.
Tercel? I remember them from the 80s. I bought an 81 Honda Civic HB instead.
If you can find a later 90s Tercel with a manual transmission they were fun to drive.
It starts right up unless your battery is worn out like my 2007 Lexus RX 400h. Then it gets complicated resetting everything when you change the battery out. What a pain!

I had a 1988 and a 1989 Tercel, they were the only two Toyotas I owned that I hated , those 1.5 L 12 valve engines were terrible.
