Hey Scotty I've got a 2013 nissan altima with 188000 miles and the original transmission. But I service the transmission at regular intervals.
The EPA played a huge part in killing standard transmissions.

Hey Scotty im curious as to whether the automatic transmission on a relatively low hp 4cyl car wears less than a car having more power? I know what an obvious answer might be but im not absolutely sure.
I drive a 2000 Camry with 355,000 miles on it,it might use a quart of oil between oil changes I'll never get rid of it. My youngest daughter drives a 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe with 108000 miles on it bought new doesn't leak a drop of oil but burns a quart of oil a week! The car doesn't smoke either.
I'm embarrassed to say I can't even drive a stick lol. Tried it once 20 years ago and couldn't figure it out
The reason they don't like manual is cause their busy hitting people head on and fatal wrecks all.they rather have a wreck killing a family in a auto accident so they can text their wife to remind them to pick up a cold beer.
