Ahoy Scottie, thanks for the great review. The small opening from the back seat to the trunk was a great design and perfect to allow alpine skis to fit in the car! If that opening was not there, then you would need to mount a ski carrier that looked like a coffin to the roof of the car!

at the moment at my local Craigslist there's 4 one owners avalon ranging from 2000-2006 with less 90k miles on them
first one has 59k
second one has 69k
third one has 89k
and forth one has 74k
and it killing me at the moment cause i don't have enough money to buy one
Can you put a turbo in an Avalon?
Need your opinion 2017 or 16 both non turbo mazda cx9 or mazda 6 they seem really good. Worth buying? 4 cylinder or get the 6 cylinder?

Avalon of course is made in USA. It’s an American design n production. No Avalon in Asian n Europe.
The "crazy little hole" is for skis, fishing poles, transpoting your long purchases for Home Depot, etc…
Throwing cat's at vehicles never solves the problem all it does is cost a ton of money and ends up making everyone unhappy in the end because no one bothered to diagnose the problem correctly (many times at a customer's behest).
All you can say…Toyota.
If Chevrolet and Ford ever made a quality vehicle of Toyota,,but never to happen.

Loved my avalon, only problem I ever had was the power steering rack

my dad wants a Toyota Avalon but dam the used car market is so bad right now.
I like the Avalon. HOwever be real careful about the year because of the poorly designed oil line from the cooler to the engine. They are partly metal and partly rubber and the rubber section will fail and burst and will drain the engine oil out in seconds with no warning to the driver. Too many owners blew their engine this way. Not sure which are the years effected tho.
The only bad thing about a car this reliable is when you live up north where they salt the roads half the year, you get about 15-20 years max before they end up rusting to the point of being unsafe.
