Thanks! Now I will somehow find a way to mess this up and blow up my car.
lol
Grate tutorial!!!
Thank you, very helpful. Do you have a video on the exterior handle/lock
too?
Thank you so much!!! Getting the rods to seat properly in the new part was
a bit tricky. Thought I may break the new plastic. Screwed new part in and
tested. Glad I did, as the handle rod was rubbing on something. Unscrewed
it, reset the handle rod, tested, DONE! Replaced door panel, window
controls and bezel. It took me almost 45 minutes from start to finish!
Thank you again!!!
thank you for posting this. my handle just broke.
I had to twist the handle and rod slightly to get it to fit together.
Thanks! My mother in laws Camry was very similar and this video made it
easy- took less than an hour
Thank you great video you help me to put the door handle very easily 🙂 🙂
🙂
My door has some like plugs or clips on the outside part that wont come
out…and the cover by the handle wont budge!!!!! I dont know what to do
My part arrived and I just fixed it. Wanted to let anybody that attempts
this to know that the replacement part I got online was good but the upper
hole for the rod on the replacement part was a little smaller in diameter
than the hole on the original so i had a tough time getting the rod back
into the hole. I actually filed the rod down a little in order to pinch it
in the hole with needle nose pliers. I would’ve preferred opening up the
hole but had nothing I could use. thank you shooter250
Nice video but I am trying to remove the piece that you broke so this vid
is of no help to me I want/need to get it out without breaking it. What is
the that little “cup” you replaced called? I will need to order one if I do
break it and have no idea what its called.
thank you for doing this video. It is a great help. I’m going to do this to
my camry tomorrow. I’m having trouble getting the rods into the handle. Do
you have any suggestions?
My driver side interior door handle broke, and I could not open the door
from the inside — so I bought a new set. Removed the door, and latched the
rods into their places (it was pain and took me half an hour). But the door
still doesn’t open from the inside. What could be the issue?
my handle has been broken for quite a while and I also have the area with
the wires to operate the locking system coming loose. I am sick of paying
firestone to do these things for me and this video was very helpful
If I can’t find parts the the local Advanced Auto Parts, I usually order
from 1aauto.com or rockauto.com. These are just facts, I’m not endorsing
these companies and they don’t pay me to say anything.
Thanks sooooooo much.
Where do you buy the new door handle and bezel? I have a 98 Camry that now
has 2 broken handles…..and 1 window that does not work. Car still runs
great …..so we would like to fix these issues. Thanks for the great
video!
I’m getting ready to do this as well, and Amazon had a bunch of parts. I’m
having the issue of window motors are dying. 3 out of the 4 windows don’t
work, and I’ve already had one replaced.
Amazon is also a good place for cheap car parts
That u gonna attempt to do this today…
Thanks a bunch. I just did this to both front door handles and it was
smooth sailing after watching this and helped save some time.
Great video. Thank You.
What if the door doesn’t open?
Thanks for posting this video! It was exactly what I needed.
What specifically are you having trouble with the door handle, the door
panel, the door handle trim, or something else?
I found my replacements on ebay ***BUT also note***ALL CAmrys are NOT put
together the same….it looks really easy in the video, I dont know what
year he was replacing the handle in, but my 1999 was a lot more difficult.
So just beware.
hi im just trying to put one of those in my car and i cant seem to put it
on
