It sounds like your Idle air control valve. This isnt the best video but it
kinda gives you an idea of what could be causing the problem. It wont
allow me to post the complete link but just remove the spaces I entered. w

Raven Youngblood says:

at 39 seconds you said you will lose some transmission fluid when you
loosen the sensor…why would there be any transmission fluid in the
cooling system…you may have bigger problems than a simple overheating
issue.

Adam Lopez says:

doing, so Major Brownie points to you!!! i wish my wife could/(would) help
me with the cars. AWESOME VIDEO!! Keep it up your doing Great!!!! And

Hi Susan, my CEL come on again, and I’m pretty sure that’s the problem now.
So I have yet to try it. Is it in the housing next to the Oil Filter with
two bolts in it?

Israel Ham says:

Hi, thanks for the awesome tips. I just changed mine on my 2001 Camry LE.
Dealer quoted $275, independent mechanic quoted $225. I went to Autozone
and spent $21.99 for the ECT sensor and $9.99 for a gallon of antifreeze.
Thanks so much!!!!!

Susan Davis says:

The themostat is in a kinda hard spot…. I wrecked my car so I cant video
it. But, if you stand in front of your car facing the engine, it is going
to be on the left hand side down about half way into the motor. You have to
look for it but if you follow your hoses you will find it. Once you find it
it is fairly simple to replace! Good luck… let me know how it goes!

Glenn Jayaputera says:

Thanks! The video helped me 🙂

Gloria Walker says:

Wow thank you so much. I will be following you!

Radiator sensor

Susan Davis says:

Thanks for the reply! Are you a grammar professor? If you watched it
further you would have noticed that I corrected the faux pas about the
transmission fluid. The bottom line is this, I replaced it properly and
saved myself quite a bit of money and have helped many other people with
the video as well. Have a great day!

markzzzzzzable says:

You are nuts.! Saved yourself a few dollars for a 3 min fix….lol
