In this video I will show you step by step how to replace front and rear struts The strut I use are called quick struts .They are a complete assembly.Remove the rear seat can be a real pain but I will show you a easy trick to get it out as easy as 1,2,3.
What are the specs on those bolts and nuts?
What sizes are the nuts? I ask because I may not have the right equipment and I'd like to be sure I order the correct wrenches.
that help me, thank very much
Jim, I was hoping you could give me the torque specs on the 2 19mm bolts that connect the strut to the hub assembly for a 2002 Toyota Camry LE 2.4L
will this video help with my 1999 camry solara? is it different?
Great video Jim. This is going to be a weekend project for me. What sockets did you use to connect/disconnect the strut from the knuckle?
I just finished changing all 4 struts on my 2008 Camry. I could not have done it without your help. Thanks! This video was perfect. No hidden surprises.
I found some torque specs. Correct me if I am wrong.
Strut to Knuckle bolt: 152-166 ft lbs
Sway bar nut: 29 ftlbs
Suspension top 3 nuts: (rear) 37 ftlbs (front) 59ftlbs
Brake line bolt: I bet 25-30 ftlbs would be good
ABS sensor bolt: I bet 25-30 ftlbs would be good
When doing struts, are you suppose to use some type of lube to prevent squeaks? Great video. Very informative.
you are an awesome mechanin…..keep The videos up?……?thanks
Is the top hat on the front struts directional?
Very Good Video! Very detailed and thorough for all the steps. Do you recommend installing never seize on the main bolts for the struts? ( bottom large bolts)
What should the labor and parts come out to approx for all 4? What kind of strut assembly do you recommend for a 2007 camry v6 xle? I want a smooth cadillac ride. 🙂
Very informative, easy to follow and clear shots with the camera. Great video!
I noticed that you did both the front and rear struts in about 45 min. Is that the norm for a pro? Shops seem to want to charge that amount of time per strut.
You are awesome for posting this video, thank you!
Best video on YouTube especially the part about securing the front axel. I just did my rear struts. They were difficult to fit in. I had to lift the stabilizer links with a bar to get the studs back in the holes. Could this mean that my rear wheels need a realignment? Going to do the fronts today. Thanks again Jim.
Also great info video very helpful thanks.
What are the torque specs on the top mount nuts for the front and back? Also for the 22mm front bolts and 19mm bolts for the rear?.
I did mine struts but didn't have to take off my rear seat.Whats reason you had to take off bottom seat cushion?
What model struts did you use and from what company?
Great video. Very helpful.
is the process the same for a 2003 Lexus es300?
Great job! Thank you.
