Great instructions and angles shown! Watch out when fidgeting with the springs and putting pressure on the pistons. I put too much force when aligning the new shoes on one piston and shot the other end out. Had to bleed the brake 'cause air got in. All of the brake parts make sense now after watching and doing the rear brake job.

Wm K says:

Can't you use a standand hex head bolt from a hardware store to remove the drum instead of that $20 job linked to in the description?

John Acton says:

L. Anthony Baez says:

Great job… It helps when people take the time to explain.

Gil John Somers says:

there is a slot in the drum so you can back the brake pads back into the center of the wheel assembly, this way you dont have to pry off the drum and cause damage to underlying parts

Paul Camalin says:

If you want to do an instruction video the right way do it like this guy. At 2AM I put my laptop next to me watching this video and changed the brake shoes on my car. No problem.

borrowtime says:

Great job, condensed and to the point, no BS jerking the camera and/or talking gibberish like some other videos out there.

beaglehawk50 says:

Suggestion: since you lost some brake fluid because of the leaky cylinder, how about checking the fluid level after you finished.

Mujeeb Rahman says:

excellent….step by step clear explanation

Brian B says:

Trust a scissor jack without a jack stand…my gosh, the one in the trunk is kind of a last ditch deal. Use a jack stand next time.

Emmaronks says:

Great Video. Well explained.

Shaq Rasoolian says:

Appreciate it

Edward Hamilton says:

Thanks for doing this. I have two questions. First, when determining "slight resistance", does that just past free-spin, in other words, just to the point where you can tell the shoes are making some contact with the drum? Second question, I'm reading in the comments that there should be some lubrication on the shoes, and ALSO that there shouldn't be, which is it? What kind of lubrication would you use?

Suryo Wibowo says:

how to adjust brake lever the left side? its same procedure?
