Hey a job like this on a Toyota Corolla 2015 how much dose it go for?

Romy Jose says:

I have the exact same 2010 corolla and have the same sound from the driver side , how much does it usually cost to change it ? Like how much is the parts cost and labor in general ?

Sailsailsailsail says:

@8:50 why don't you guys have some calipers. Also, that is the original Toyota CV axle, originally all the axles have the balancer in the middle. The cheap aftermarket CV's do not have them. However, I've never had an issue using an aftermarket axle.

Nyarial Nyoak says:

Where do you get your parts? I’m thinking about replacing my own axle to save me cost of labor.

Stephen Chaidez says:

after you change the cvs should you get a tire alignment done?

Filthy Phill says:

I actually stripped my axle nut listening to him it's actually a 30mm. You can see it's not the right socket when he puts it on its loose

Preza Ricardo says:

nice video, seems to me a lot work do it my self but would like to try is going to save me $385 of labor. thanks

Leo Agusto says:

Thanks for your very well explained procedure. I have a 2010 Toyota Corolla S 1.8 engine. Both axles are liking grease and will need to replace. Having difficulty deciding what aftermarket brand to purchase. I have read about some really bad experiences others have had, with some aftermarket axels.Toyota dealer is way too expensive. Can you please give me your opinion, based on your knowledge and experience, which do you think is the better choice. Thanks in advance for your responce.

Ey I just replaced my axle but the noise was not coming from CV axle but theres a clicking noise coming from the transmition but only when i go over a bump

Austin Riley-Echiberi says:

torque wrench? lol

terry wheatley says:

why wasn't the seal changed in the trans? the seals are inexpensive & not hard to change.

Navdeep Sandhu says:

thanks for the detailed video. I am planning to do it on my own on both the sides of my corolla. So do i need alignment once i change both the side?

Cheo V says:

I noticed that there was no oil coming out of the trans when you pulled the axle. Does that means it was low oil?

Jon Cone says:

Hi,
I, recently, read a 103,000-mi. 2010 Corolla sale post that listed, "Known issues: front left CV joint will need replacing at some point.". Is that major concern for a privately-owned for-sale car?
Thx
JC

What can go wrong on a cv axle replacement job? The dealership replaced my cv axle free of charge but now I have a different noise/vibration that sounds like a motorcycle is driving somewhere near by its not loud and it doesn't sound like scraping but I suspect they botched the job. Wheel bearing also replaced and both front rotors resurfaced.
