I went to the Toyota dealership and they helped me by searching through manuals. They said White is #1, Red is #2, Blue is #3 and Gray is #4
Glad I found this video. A friend was helping and pulled the wires out of the green thing. Now I don’t know what colors to put back where. The holes are numbered 1 2 3 and 4 and the colors of the wires are Red, Blue, White and Gray. Do you know which color goes with which number?
thanks for the help, not very hard to replace alternator on v6, it was harder changing the belt….just take battery completely out, repair manual said you can go threw bottom to reach bolts better but that is false…video is better than manual.
Note: Just did my alternator on a 2010 sport Tacoma. Remove the entire battery from the truck first, otherwise you can’t get the old alternator out. Also it has to come out from the top in that model. Video helped sooo much, Thanks!!
Awsome video dude! My new alternator comes in tomorrow and this video helps alot. Only thing is I have a 2010 Tacoma and the alternator is on the driver side. is everything mirrored on the newer models?
How many miles did the Tacoma had at the time of replacement?
Ive seen the Tacomas when Im in the US, the closest thing we have to them in Australia is the Toyota Hilux 2X4s various series…the Tacoma has a prettier front panels/grille etc but very similiar lines otherwise.
What prefix engine model type is that?
