How To Program a Toyota Corolla Key (2005-2019)

Rent a car key and remote fob programmer at https://TomsKey.com. It’s easy to program a new key (with or without keyless entry remote fob) using Tom’s Car Key Programmer. This device is made to save you money over the cost a car dealership charges.

Programming is simple – use the device to connect with the OBD II port to your car computer. Because of the security chip in modern car keys, it’s necessary to program that chip so your vehicle’s computer recognizes it as a key authorized to start the car. Once programmed, you simply take the key to a locksmith to have the metal blade cut to match your vehicle.

Similarly, the keyless entry button remote also needs to be programmed. Newer Corolla remotes can be programmed by Tom’s Car Key Programmer. Older Corolla remotes can be programmed using this hack in my other video https://youtu.be/mubyWe6Nvko.
This also can be used to program keys and remotes for many other Toyota vehicles including Camry, RAV4, Sienna, Tundra, 4Runner, Yaris. More vehicles being added regularly.

Renting this car key programmer from Tom’s Key Company can save you big money, sometimes even hundreds of dollars compared to the cost many car dealerships and locksmiths charge.

James Massoni says:

I ordered and programmed a key for a 2019 Toyota Corolla and save me significant money over the dealership. Definitely worth it. Also did the photo cut on my key which worked fine. Only complaint I had was that they didn't have a video that really covered my car, but the written instructions were complete.

Damien Perry says:

I received the programmer, opened the box, watched the video, followed the instructions, and within 5 minutes, my new key fob was working perfectly. I tossed it back into the box, attached the included shipping label, and within 15 minutes of removing the package from my mailbox, the job was complete and the package was ready to be picked up by the post office. The only “drawback” isn’t even a drawback: it took about a week to get my deposit money back, and they really didn’t give me a hard time about it. It would have cost me more money, including the fully refundable deposit, to have a locksmith do exactly what I did for myself. I would absolutely utilize this service again, if I ever need it

STLSNIPER says:

To Tom's Keys: Thank you so much..! My precut key works like it is suppose to. The programming was easy. Took me less than five minutes. Your company saved me hundreds of dollars compared to what the Toyota dealer was going to charge me. Thanks again..!!

Have a unique problem. Transponder key was intermittently not working seemed tied to cold temps. Presumed battery. Backup key works. Replaced battery. Key still doesnt work. Both keys chips turn off the blinking red light. So is it some of the contacts or wire failed and the transponder needs replacement?

What are the chances of a malfunction if every time I use the replacement key and 2 or 3 min driving , the car star blinking check engine light and some other signs on the dashboard is that a coincidence or something wrong with the replacement key?
