Hi wond3ring if you can help me here im not sure if your already made a
video of it and if you know how much the part would be to replace but my
fuel and boot relese that sits next to my seat as broke ahd needs
replaceing the boot one and broke away and im not sure if the carpet needs
bringing back to gain accsess thanks

Hi. A question, my broken door handle part is the white plastic long piece
that hooks into the exterior handle. My exterior handle is fine, but the
big (as big as my finger with a “y” slot on one end) is what is broken. I
don’t see it on the part you took out of the 98 corolla in the video, nor
do I see it on the part you have for sale when you buy the whole exterior
handle. Any suggestions? Thanks, Derek

removing the interior door I was clueless.

Hi! I tried searching for the process for replacing a rear outside door
handle on a corolla 2000, and came up empty. Are there any big differences
between doing a rear handle compared to front handle, or is the process
pretty much the same?
Thanks for the terrific video. It is very helpful. The only issue I am
having with is the door lock clip at 03:55. For the life of me, I can’t
seem to get it off. Can you provide more detailed instructions on how to
pop that clip off? Did you reach in and pop it off the rod by pulling the
bottom of the clip towards you with your thumb? I tried my thumb and also a
screw driver, and I couldn’t get it to do move at all. Once again, thanks

The issue is the clip that holds the rod linkage for the handle might be
broke off of the latch. Removing the door panel without the the door being
open will be difficult so you might want to call a lock smith to open the
door for you and then you can do the work yourself to replace what is
broken.
have a 03 corolla and the outside door handle is quite different. do you
have a video for a 03
It seems that these handles plastic is too weak and is made to break after
few years ! How much do you pay a brand new one or a second hand handle ?

great video, but my car has a handle to row down the window. once I learn
how to get the handle off I will be in business, thanks again for the video.
If the screw has stripped in the door handle, you may need to re-thread the
door handle to accept the screw.
I have the same issue. Did you find instructions anywhere on how to take
off the interior window handle? Any clues on doing that?

you should be able to pop the clip off of the rod with your thumb, it
should just clip onto the metal rod.
Normally there is a C-clip holding the crank onto the shaft of the manual
window. Pushing back the door panel ever so slightly will expose it so you
can remove it.
How long does the process take? I’m wondering how much an auto body shop
