How To Fix a Noisy Suspension ~ Noise over Bumps

How To Fix a Noisy Suspension ~ Noise over Bumps

Suspension noise can be awful! Noise while turning, noise going over bumps, noise while breaking, even noise while driving can all point to suspension issues. In this video we look at a quick suspension noise check, and then replace a complete set of rear struts on a 2001 Toyota. Thanks to @Advance Auto Parts for being an amazing partner #advancefleet

I have a Honda civic coupe 2015.

My car ( I assume it’s the suspension) makes a front area clunk noise when I go over uneven bumps where 1 wheel goes over even surface but one go over bump or pot hole.

It’s also makes noice during turns and especially when there is uneven concrete surface and up drive ways.

If I go over a speed bump evenly it doesn’t make the noise unless I drive really fast which I won’t do purposely obviously.

I have a new 2021 Camry that I've had to take in to get the break shims replaced because backing up from a parked position caused a lot metal grindy noise. It took me 3 visits to the dealership for them to finally figure it out and the car has 10k miles on it so its still under the warranty through the dealership. After I got it back I noticed a very loud noise when going over rough roads coming from the right front tire. The left side sounds smooth and quiet like what I expect, but this odd popping/clunking noise is worrisome. I'm trying to figure out what it is causing it but I'm having trouble with the noise description. It almost sounds like the muffled experience I usually hear when going over a bit of rough terrain on the left, but the right side is loud and pronounced. Any tips on what this could be? I know nothing about cars but I don't want to take 3 trips again if I can provide an accurate description. Unfortunately I've tried to record the audio but its difficult for it to pick up on in a recording.

2003 Chevy Cavalier alignment shows that Camber Bolts are needed for the front, and EZ-Shims for the rear (to adjust Toe and Camber). I would rather replaced the parts, but don't know for sure which ones. As far as I understood on the front what causes the need for Cam Bolts is bushing, which is worn. So I assume if I replace that bushing I won't need that replacement of original steer-to-knickle bolts for cam Bolts. Bu for the rear I don't know what to replace at all. Thank you for the great film.

Cool video. Just wish I could've heard the squeaking in the beginning. How are we supposed to know if this video is what we're looking for if all we can hear is the narrator yapping over the squeaks?
