How to change Wheel Bearing & Hub Repair – Toyota Corolla

Buy this exact hub here→ http://amzn.to/2exQML8
This car is a 2003 TOYOTA COROLLA 1.8L L4
The hub assembly is MOOG 512218. Even though only one wheel bearing hub was bad, it’s always recommend to replace both sides of any wheel part repair. Thats what the auto guys tell me anyway. I would say this repair is really easy. Not much harder than changing a tire. I set the torque wrench to 45lbs for the four hub bolts. That is what I read online. If any of you reading this have additional info or if I am wrong, please comment.

Bolt for removing the drum is a M8-1.25 I think you want it at least 40mm in length. Here is one on amazon. http://amzn.to/2eoe6wp

AWESOME you showed the bolts!!!!!!! No where on the planet can you find information about those bolts. Mine were all stripped and I had to buy the closest equiv from the hardware store. The dealer wanted $5 per bolt. Mine are M10-1.25×25. 14mm head. Do you remember what size yours were?

Adam the video is kinda cut..so how's the outcome did the noise go away?

Curiosity says:

I did mine today on a Ford Focus 2007, the bearing and the drum come as one. I let the bearing continue to fail so it was loud enough so when I lifted the car I was able to rotate the tire and hear and feel "grinding" sound. Go from one side to the other to see differences. 173 LB pounds to tighten and all should be good. Test run comes tomorrow. She'll be good … 🙂
