That’s great Nick. Thanks bud!
Great video.. FYI, its always a good idea to use compressed air to blow and
dirt and debris off, beforehand so that nothing falls into the spark plug
hole.you do NOT need a piece of plastic falling into your cylinders. Thank
you..
Nice thanks for posting this I thought it was going to be more difficult
Thanks !! Just replaced the plugs on my ’04 4Runner and this video helped a
lot.
Thanks so much for taking the time to post this video. Took me less than an
hour and I’m not a grease monkey by any stretch of the imagination. Two
thumbs up!
Great video. This is as easy as it looks. The trickiest part definitely is
the rethreading of the plugs when you replace them. I highly recommend
using an extension with the 5/8 spark plug socket permanently attached (I
got one at an auto parts store). I don’t think the electrical tape is a
good idea. Also, you show the anti seize grease but he didn’t use it? And
why not just apply the diaelectric grease to the metal tip of the plug
rather than up in the boot? I used genuine Toyota spark plugs and I’m
fairly certain they come pregapped. Thanks again as this video is awesome.
Just changed our spark plugs for the first time. This video covered
everything I needed. Thanks!
A most excellent video. Thank you very much for posting this. This kind of
helpful information is invaluable for DIY folks! Favorited!
Thank you for the video, I just got a used 2005 4runner and changing the
plug looks like butt easy.

Example change 1st cylinder and go for the 3rd cylinder.
thank you very much for posting this video. excellent instructions
i bought an air filter but i’m too lazy to install it. always buy toyota
brand parts. they are cheap compared to….NAPA or whoever. i do have a
problem with dealerships telling me that toyota does not supply toyota
brand oil. that’s BS.
Thanks for the excellent vid, these engines are a heck of a lot different
than my 97 vette
Awesome vid, doing this on my 07 tomorrow
thank you sir! after reviewing, i can tackle this job on my daughters
toyota great helpful hint with the tape!
You da man. Thanks for the post. I just changed my plugs on my 2005 Toyota
Tacoma. Apparently the exact same set up as your ride. Everything went
exactly as you showed. The only tough time I had was on the driver’s side,
forward plug: the electrical connector to the coil was hard to remove.
However, with some wiggle, removed it and the ole girl is running great.
Thanks again….
Thanks G!!!
I have a v8, does the plugs have to be put in with a torque wrench? Or can
I just put them in with a socket?
thanks for taking the time to make this video
man, i haven’t worked on a vehicle since 95. i bought an 03 FR new. 67k
miles and all original-tires (michelin), battery (panisonic), everything.

vehicle i’ve ever owned. wait, i changed the wiper blades.
