I can never imagine changing a filter can be so hard, I want to nominate
the Toyota Design Team for the worst air filter designed. Bravo fcukers

Abraham Sangha says:

Very helpful, thanks

Lisa Brennen says:

Thank you! No waiting around for my husband to try and remember to do this!
I can get it done myself! ;)

Sheena Winkler says:

This was a big help – thanks!!

I have the 2007 and the air filter cover hinges are a bitch to try to get
it to snap in place :(.

BlesstheLORD Omysoul says:

Thank you! You’re a big help. I knew where I should replace it, but your
instructions make everything clear.

jgfishkill says:

Thank you. The owners manual doesn’t mention replacement details. On it’s
last page it states you need the “repair manual” to give procedure on how
it’s done.

John Moore says:

What a bitch to deal with……thought it would take me two minutes but
that wasn’t the case due to the ridiculous hinges that he talks about in
the video. Also, note that one corner of the filter has less of a radius on
it; that corner goes into the front right part of the box as you are facing
the engine (being geometrically challenged that took some time to figure
out which was the cause of great frustration). Either way, stupid design
for a simple air filter box!

Iain Searcy says:

Wonderful directions thank you

oatmealstoutpint says:

Thanks for the video, especially for detailing the 10 mm socket, the front
and up, and the challenge of fitting in the new filter.

ThAnks for the tips

Deepak Rawat says:

Guys please pay attention. The filter has ‘front’ and ‘Up’ written on it.
Make sure you place the filter accordingly to avoid frustration. Also when
you close the top cover insert it at 30 degree angle for a perfect fit. You
might have to struggle with it a bit but its not that hard.

Duong Anh Dang says:

Very precise instruction. Thank you …

Glen Langston says:

Many thanks. The back bolt was missing on mine.

Bill Perez says:

You should also claen the mass flow sensor while you have everything out ,,,
