This was helpful, my son and I replaced the left front last summer and are
replacing the RF now. I used a centre punch to remove the C clip, it was
rusted in, we bought a special C clip pliers that was useless, I used my
Dollar Store centre punch and a sledge hammer and stood on the hub while
punching in towards the middle of the hub, the C clip edged out of the
grove and I jammed a slot screwdriver between it and the groove to keep it
from sliding back in. It took about 5 minutes, forget about trying to weld
something onto the clip, the punch works fine.

I have a 2000 Corolla and I am replacing the wheel bearings, How do I
remove the front inner wheel seal and more importantly, the gold inner
dust seal (NOT the black retaining ring)? It has two grooves, do I use a
snap ring plier wrench? Thanks

The dimple on the axle nut is not an imperfection, it is created after
tightening the axle nut to spec so that the axle nut will not move. I think
it is recommended to use a new axle nut after removing the old one.
