07-09 alternator takes about 20-30 minutes to replace. I did it on a mountain when I hit a mud hole too hard.

Botsis Anargyros says:

Just use LPG OR CNG. Convert it. It solves all problems

Hi Amd, been watching this episode in pieces over the last few days between things. Hope to see you if ever presented with the opportunity, do a similar video of the rav4 in this vintage with your beloved door. 3rd Gen 06-12. Somehow when it lost the rear tire it really looked like a little dog in the class. Almost makes the older Venza more interesting than the next (4th Gen 12-18's). Which would actually be very interesting to hear your thoughts and critiques on a video as well. Also a strange rarity.

My 2007 2az-fe had the weeping water pump.

Michael F says:

Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. I like the variation of topics that you cover that really helps me as a DIYer; unless I can not do it properly. I have a 2008 Sandstorm FJ that is not Trail Teams but has all the other optional packages. I bought it last year used, very well kept stock, and I love it. It is my daily driver. Thank you again.

Tony Lester says:

I love the FJ's.. Man that one is clean… Super valuable now days too… Those wheels are 4 runner wheels.. I have a bronze set on my Tacoma.. Love them..

Rob Macklin says:

This is a very good video!! Well done! You only said one thing I disagree with… you said you can just "hose out the rubber floor". WRONG ANSWER!!! Water will go down under the rubber floor and soak into the spongy insulation below the rubber. Then mold and yuck! Just vacuum and wipe out the floors with damp paper towels….and… "life is good!" 🙂

Hot Rod 1949 says:

Thanks for the video. Honda Element has same issue with the windshield

Mr. Miata says:

When you mention the idler pulleys with the washer in the back… is that an update? I just replaced the idlers on my 2007 with OEM pulleys and dealer plugged in my VIN and said mine did not use the washers on the back.

Jay Son Bourne says:

This is quality content and the YouTube/car community is better because of it. Thank you! A video like this for the second generation Nissan Xterra would be greatly appreciated!

Thomas Reilly says:

just FYI ….. a lot of the times the wheel bearing on the drivers side is not the culprit. Its the needle bearing in the front diff on the driverside shaft. chased it for months . finally found it and its very common on tacomas and 4runners.

Michael Lompart says:

I'm sorry I should have specified that my 2012 Tacoma is 4.0 L ,V6, 1GRFE engine. Thanks

You’re a nut!

RKGSD says:

And now Toyota will be reviving the FJ as an EV!

Fritz Languish says:

My 2007 had a rear differential pinion gear wore out before 70K miles. started making a whiring noise and needed to be replaced by 99K. TG I bought the extended warranty from Toyota. They replaced the whole differential with a $100 deductable. Toyota had a service bulletin on this issue but no recall. Quality in 2006-2007 Toyotas was really bad.

O zarad says:

Who cares to take care of this car anymore everything will be electric

Vulcan S says:

Not even gonna watch the video but fjs are like 10 years old of course theyre noisy wtf

Michael Lompart says:

First of all thank you again for your valuable information. I have a 2012 Tacoma TRD 4WD with 49,300 miles and am the original owner. When changing spark plugs at 32,726 miles it was suggested that I switch to Iridium spark plugs (Denso SK20 HR11) for longer life. Is this a good change or do you recommend that I stay with the original Platinum spark plugs? Thank you

Ziplokk says:

Great video as always! Question, do the wheel bearings contribute to or cause the steering wheel shimmy that a lot of owners have? Wheel balancing doesn't help it. Starts around 60 mph. Or is a failed steering component?
