Installing a Toyota Tacoma roof rack is pretty easy. There are about 15 bolts all going into pre drilled holes right under the black weather stripping on the truck. I got my Roof Rack from the Toyota Dealership near me, but this one seems to be the same on Amazon: http://amzn.to/2rIljxm The one I got from the dealership was not perfect, and I had to push pretty hard on the passenger side to get the bolt holes to line up. But it all fell into place eventually.
If you are thinking about saving a few bucks and installing the roof rack on your toyota Tacoma, this might just be the video for you. See if you want to attempt the same roof rack installation on your own. This project took me about 45 minutes, because the passenger side wouldnt line up perfectly… but I eventually got the holes to line up with a little bit of force.
This whole video was filmed with a Galaxy S8 Plus.

I'm just curious if you've ever had any leakage problems with these? Thanks.
Very nice video. Helpfull and no embromation. Thanks!
Have you done a lightbar install on this truck with the OEM roof rack? I didn't see any video for it. Thanks for this roof rack video. I installed mine yesterday.
Hey, I installed this rack under the assumption that my Thule cargo box would fit, but nope. The bars are too spread out. Evidentially, Thule and Yakima do not make cargo boxes that will fit this rack system. Are you familiar with any that do? Or am I just up a creek? Thanks.
You explain too easy I liked
Anyone have trouble with the final bolt into the swing arm? Mine has nothing to screw into, just open hole.
Does anyone know if these would work on the current gen Rav4? I like the idea of stowable crossbars when not in use so much!
Any chance of the OEM roof rack scratching the paint once installed (over time)?
Take the tape off. I'm fixing one right now where they didn't and the extra weight of the rack and whatever shitheads load onto it, destroy that tape causing massive leakage.
I have a truck and i am just watching one because of JERRY, but also because i want the ideas and inspiration for my own truck a 1998 Dodge Dakota sport with the 5.2L V8 Magnum
Did you have any issues with leaks. The washer on only one side of the mount seems to make me think water could get in from the top of the bolt down.
Wow thanks ! I was ready to pay a body shop to install mine . Will try it myself now !
Does this works for a Chevy Colorado z71 the same way?
Any issues with interfering with the antenna?
