I didn’t drain anything, just pulled the pump off. I save coolant that way. The inverter has a totally separate system.
Did you drain just the radiator coolant only??or did you drain the inventor coolant also???
Have a toyota dealer check your VIN for open recalls, You may not have to pay anything to get that fixed.
HEY GREAT VIDEO , I WAS JUST DRIVING IN MY 2004 PRIUS AND PROBLEM LIGHT CAME ON AND ALL THE OTHER BELLS AND WHISTLES CODE READER SAYS SYSTEM A COOLER INVERTER POA93 ANY THOUGHTS. THIS SPACE SHIP HAS BEEN GREAT BUT WHEN IT THROWS A CODE ITS LIKE OH BOY THERE GOES THE BANK
When you’re done and ready to drive it? Just power off then ready back on and it’ll be out of “maintenance mode.”
what did you press button when the car is ready take off ? thank you
Ok thanks man! Just finished replacing the pump today and thanks to this video I was able to complete the job myself! Saved about $500! I skipped the sealant based on what you said and it is working great so far! Thanks for the vid!
Never used any sealer and never had a come back. I can’t see how using a little sealer would hurt, but using to much could cause problems. I’ve had other motors running cool caused by a chunk of sealer that jammed the thermostat after someone used too much doing a water pump.
Do you have to use any sealant between the pump and the block? Or does the gasket do the job all by itself?
HV Battery is on my list
Thank you! I do my own repairs and was wondering how hard this job was, you make it look easy. Look forward to more Prius videos if possible. Thank you again.
Exactly the video I have been searching for. Very clear instructions. Looks like my uncoming repair won’t be as diffficult as I was expecting.
