I have a 2012 Suzuki 9.9 high thrust engine. I just replaced the water pump and that went well. It's pretty easy. When I started the engine, I had water coming out all around the bottom of the engine case, but not peeing out like it's supposed to. Is it possible I dislodged the upper end of the tube that connects the water pump to the engine, so water is being pumped into the case instead of the engine block? What connects that tube to the motor itself? Any help you can give will be appreciated.

what type of grease are you using, and do you need to use any gasket sealer anywhere?
on the lower unit housing maybe?
and what are the torques for tightening the bolts?
