ORIGINAL SUZUKI WATER PRESSURE VALVE REPLACEMENT ON 2013 DF250.

I GET MY PARTS SUPER FAST VIA BOATS.NET IN GEORGIA. MANY TIMES, SHIPPING IS 1 DAY, USING THE EXPRESS SHIPPING METHOD, TO JACKSONVILLE FLORIDA. (a tip, for DIY persons)

TODAY’S REASON FOR CHANGING THE WATER PRESSURE VALVE IS BECAUSE IT NEVER HAS BEEN IN 5 YEARS.

BUT SINCE I’VE RYDLYME FLUSHED THE DIRTY ST. JOHNS RIVER OUT OF MY SUZUKI, BECAUSE I HAD A CLOGGED FUEL COOLER, CHANGED EVERY SINGLE FUEL FILTER, SPARK PLUGS, GEAR LUBE, TRAILER BEARINGS, T-STATS, INTERNAL ANODES…….

BESIDES THE WATER PUMP AND A OIL CHANGE (not needed yet), THE WATER PRESSURE VALVE WAS OVER DUE.

AT 5000 RPM’s I’M GETTING ENGINE TEMPS UP TO 170 DEGREES. NOT SURE IF LOCAL WATER TEMPS HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT. BUT THAT SEEMS A BIT HIGH TO ME.

MY SUZUKI T-STATS ARE 122 DEGREE T-STATS, THAT COME FROM SUZUKI. AND ARE WHAT HAS ALWAYS BEEN IN MY MOTOR.

2013 250 hp.
using RYDLYME DESCALER VIDEO, trials and tribulations. But, now I know what maintenance schedule to set myself up on. The dirty St. Johns River is W-H-Y!
If you run the dirty, salty St. Johns River like I do…..”and I’m extremely meticulous about flushing the motor”….you need to WATCH THIS❗ https://youtu.be/7ZYwh9e2ZD8

Tell you one thing Suzuki's are cheap motors and there seems to be endless problems. I really got to look at a 300 hp over recently and the whole motor looks cheap and the parts they use are shit. Its not worth it stay with the 3 only outboard motors to buy Mercury Yamaha and evirnude. As a mechanic with 35 years of experience and whenever anyone asks me about Suzuki my reply is very simple when have you ever seen an old Suzuki outboard motor and then they realize yeah you right I've never seen one! They either rot out with corrosion or blow up.

Thanks. Saw your video and had a pee problem so I thought it might be the problem. Bought 2003 boat a couple years ago and went to change. It had the factory paint still. Sad. Used your method of changing the anode with a modification. Tapped both bolt hole to 5/16-18 and used a steering wheel puller with a 2×2 picket to pull it out. The problem ended up being a stuck half open thermostat which looked fine last year.

Tim Ross says:

What about the sensor that is telling you it's running at 170+ ? Optional Stat is probably for my area where once in a great while we run in 34 or 35 f water . Late fall or right at ice _ out .

Scuba Bro says:

I never understood why but this issue was always worse on my Suzuki than on my Yamaha… and I loved the Suzuki but yeah Suzuki just always had more scaling and salt build up no how much OCD effort I’d put into cleaning and maintenance

J's Outdoor Adventures says:

You are not helping your corrosion problem by using a steel pick on aluminum. Causes dissimilar metal corrosion.

Great vids brother. Thank you for sharing

'05 DF200
Trailed at idle, starboard head is pushing 190°, port head 125°. Replaced both T-stats that were totally locked open from corrosion. In the process I discovered a doubled over cooler line. One of 4 or 5 that derive from below intake manifold. There is a 3 way T that feeds water to intake jackets. LONG phillips screwdriver from where they start to run up from T, inserted while looking down from T-stat housings and unfolded this one doubled over hose. Found this while servicing. Will check tomorrow if any difference in temps.
Just some info for others to look for.
Great video and will definitely flush w/Rydelyme when it arrives. All passages opened up w/removal of t-stats, anodes. New water pressure regulator on the way.

I have a df250 and when I'm at idle after a few minutes my engine reads overheating and go in that protection mode but the pee water seems cool but I have to shut down and sometimes takes awhile to operate properly have any idea what causes that any info will be a help

Tim Fishhunt says:

that's a lower temp than I ever heard any motor run of any type. Most gas and Diesel motors are about 180 to 190

Dave Cavanaugh says:

I’m in Florida. I have a Honda 90. My motor has a strong pee stream and pees very cool – slightly above water surface temp. Have you tried a thermo temp gun on your pee water to see if it’s actually the temp on your gauge reading? Also I ran into the same issue as you with salt/scale build up in the motor. I always flush my motor with the ear muffs and recently discovered my actual flush port/valve is clogged inside the block mount case. Changed out both head and block thermostats and also the water pressure release valve. They were horrible but flush port is still clogged. Waiting on Rydlyme to be delivered. I will pull all the valves again and flush for a few hours to see if I can get everything flowing and unclogged.

Danny Boudreaux says:

Had same problem 200 Suzuki still have i going to try that.

Carlos Romero says:

Hi I have Suzuki 150 hp where is tha water pressure is locate
