SUZUKI JIMNY SNORKEL, INSTALL & REVIEW

SUZUKI JIMNY SNORKEL, INSTALL & REVIEW

Well, it’s finally done. Waited 6 months for the Mongo Snorkel, but i i was happy and sad at the same moment when i opened the package . I just love the design of this Snorkel, but i was not satisfied with the quality. The paintwork was poor and some of the accessories was missing. But i decided to make the most of it and repainted the Snorkel and rebuilt most of the components needed to finish the job properly. But i still recommend this Snorkel because of it’s design and hope that Jimny All Grip Mongolia will improve the quality of their product for future customers. My philosophe is “if you don´t let people know what they can improve on, they will newer improve” So good luck Jimny All Grip Mongolia 👍
I want to thank Martin Lines for letting me use some of his YouTube footage.

Hats off the the fella installing it, I 100% know what it’s like having to install a part that doesn’t fit, and not to mention having the customer stand behind you while you do it. You hope the customer understands that it isn’t his fault and he is doing the best with what he has been given.

A install like that should probably take an hour or 2 but turns out to be a 3/4 day job and the shop looses money on that job.

Maybe a stupid question : will the extended length, of a snorkel. Change the amount of air to the engine, and also resistance/lower velocity of the air ? Does the fuelsystem has to be adjusted ?

willi pine says:

there is absolutely no way I'll pay 1700$ for a piece of plastic , you were probably scamed to be honest. I could easily make a fibre glass copy of it.

Mongolia good in riding horses 🙂

Marc Gatto says:

Elegantly designed air intake. And then you get junk parts, poor paint and missing essentials. Too bad. However. Congratulations on salvaging the project! Well done.

Where did you get the glossy side fenders

Thank you for the video! The result looks amazing but I would probably have sent it back… and left a scathing review.
Your patience paid off big time!

I also just received this snorkel. Also not great work. Still to see if parts will fit. Also no hose. My main worry – what about rain? There is no place to put a drain. Did you think about how to handle rain entering the snorkel? Or just assuming that not much will enter? (afraid to take this assumption..). And thanks for the video! Very helpful. How did you ensure that the place metal part(connected to the hose) is air tight in place of connection to snorkel itself? There is a lot of free space, and not evenly distributed, fitting some rubber and silicon might be not secure enough

DAWG Overland Outfitter & Offroad Solutions says:

Great video as usual. That install looks a collossal PITA. Hard to recommended that snorkel version was my take on it.

CK101 says:

So the quality was straight up MONGO then… – in swedish that would be slang for "weirdo" 🙂

ullie76 says:

Looks good thanks to the new paint job. I would be very very frustrated that it takes all that extra work for making it look good. Hopefully the whole is really airtight so you won't get water in the airtake when you cross a deep river. I'm waiting for that video.
