It’s one way to charge that battery. However, under the fuse box cover,
there is a pair of terminals (12VDC and negative), which goes straight to
the battery. It has bolts for connecting pigtails, so you could make a
permanent setup.

I hooked a pigtail for a battery tender to the battery when I replaced it,
but this is great for those who haven’t done so.

I have the same setup in my bike, the shot of the under side is exactly
like mine. But I have a dead battery and need to replace it, any idea how
to get the battery out of that housing?! or Which of the bolts will free it
from there? Thanks
