Kim Andersen says:

thank you very much. I just bought my 2002 800 3 days ago. this was very
informative. Very Helpful! I wonder if you have a video on how to remove
the carberator as I need to clean mine out. It only had 2800 miles so it
backfires a little and needs the choke out a little . thanks again and have
a great day. Kim

Great info. I thought the dipstick has broken off since I had bought it
used with no owner’s manual. Your video saved me from having a heart
attack. I was envisioning the previous owner had broke it off. Now, I
would have to get the motor torn down to get it out. Thanks, you are a
lifesaver.

Got an ’03 Intruder VL 1500 a couple months ago (my first bike) and she’s
all ready for me to get her oil changed this Friday. Was nervous about the
whole thing and was almost ready to call my local bike shop until I saw
this video. Thanks much for visuals, it helps a ton to see it!

Thanks for posting.. Was supposed to have have help to do this, but got a
no show, so I figured I would try it myself….. Def confidant I can do it
on my own now….

briansmobile1 says:

It’s SUPER EASY. You just have to pull the axle bolt and spacer on the
opposite side. From there you can drop it out of the gear. No mess.
