I’ve modded a few organs in my day, but my favorite by far is a simple mod on a Hammond S6 Chord Organ ( a very under rated organ!) of removing the wire which feeds the grid on the preamp tube for the bass pedals, and putting it one tube stage back in the circuit ( where the AUX RCA plug is at). This cascades an extra stage of gain into the normal connecting point. Very easy mod. I ran the 2 wires out (they don’t shock). This is actually an effects loop! I added 2 or 3 Zener diodes and WOW!!
There are lots of people doing modifications to Hammond organs and Leslies, many of which are to remove the later model tone wheel organs’s key click filters on T-xxx models, altering key percussion to correspond to the original 2nd and 3rd on E-xxx models. Besides these ‘revert mods’ there are the Zener diode mods- see> KON’S PASSIVE ZENER DIODES BASED OVERDRIVE CIRCUIT. Go to Captain Foldback’s page & in SCHEMATICS are effects loops & tone boosters. See Organ Forum thread- Cool Hammond Mods?
If it is a real B3 with 3 white tabs on the upper left and 4 white tabs on the upper right, 4 legs, reverse color keys on the left. If the Leslie is a model 122 or 147, and everything functions ( 90% anyway) then it can bring over $3,000 easy. IF the community you are in has that special someone who wants it. Regardless of where you live in the lower 48, don’t just sell it for $2,000 because nobody is responding. Renew Clist ad oftn, take lots of images, post a video of all functions- ea.Drawbar
I believe Chad is playing Precious and Few by Climax which was released way back in 71-72. I remember years ago Time Life Music had put out a 40 Volume Sounds of the Seventies which included this song.
I echo mevans1182’s sentiment. You are looking so much better, Retrochad!! I suspect that you feel as good as you look; keep it up!! I hope that Organist1982 is also following your program.

Hello, the only modifications we do are to add fuses to the Hammond console for extra protection, other than that we just restore the stock circuitry with new components exactly like the original circuit.
Hi Buzz, we are a repair shop only so cannot advise on sales price. There are plenty of online Hammond merchants and ebay to check what they have been selling for; I do know they are still a popular item.
Thanks Matt, I remember WKBN 57 AM from when I lived in that region. I have been doing some more weight training recently and it continues to help me feel better and I have not gained any weight.
Sounds great man, nice playing!
Also digging those Astatic boxes behind you! Thats a hometown connection as Astatic was founded in Youngstown by WKBN chief engineer Creed Corpenning.
Great job with the new meal plan and exercise regimen, looks like it is really paying off!
WOW. Very Nice. I have a Hammond B3 & a Leslie of some sort that I inherited from my father who played totally by ear. I now find myself in an economic situation that I have to sell it. Any way to tell what it would be worth? I know that jazz musicians are drawn to this model because of the weight of the plastic keys. Any advice you could pass along would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, JAMES.
They are only a few hundred Aeolians made. I happen to have one if you are interested

This is “Precious & Few”.
What is the name of the song you are playing here?
Awesome vid Chad. We have a store called Norvac here that has a $1-5 boneyard of weird components. Bought a huge box of old manuals for $1 there.
Wow Chad, sounds very nice indeed. You are looking good mate, keep it up whatever you are doing it seems to be working. 🙂

I think they are pretty rare as I have never seen one in person.

Sounds good.
Sounds great! That’s a good song their too.
@retrochad how hard do you think it would be to come across a aeolian hammond?
One of my favorite songs growing up in the early 70s. Vividly remember hearing it wafting thru the airwaves…
I’ve heard of some modifications that might be done on Leslies and Hammonds. I request that perhaps you might make a video discussion on that topic.
I’d buy that for a Dollar!!! (From RoboCop). You look thinner? if your making a healthier body, keep it up and God bless!
you look good Chad!
wish I had your talent.
Can you play Innagadadavida?
