DIY Sportbike Tire Install | Bridgestone Battlax T30 Evo | Suzuki GSX-S750

5k miles on my 1 year old GSXS750 and the Battlax 016 tires were down to the wear bars. I bought Bridgestone Battlax T30 Evo tires, front and rear, to replace them. I decided to do it myself. My knees, forearms and hands are bruised. And I learned an important lesson about sportbike tires. But… its done.

I had exactly the same problems with the T30 …. a great tyre but not for DIY fitters.

Oh, this was painful to watch. I bought a cheapo HF tire vise. Much easier. I found the T 30 EVO was the hardest tire I ever mounted.

erockmyworld says:

Much easier with proper tire spoons and also if you let the tires warm up a bit first; let them sit out in the sun for a bit.

I'm looking at buying the same bike and was curious about how long the original tires would last…So only one season? wow, I was hoping longer than that.
