Basically you want to loosen the axel bolt on the front wheel and the bolts
that tighten the triple clamps (top and bottom, both sides) while the bike
is on the ground. Once you have the bike in the air you can remove the
front wheel entirely, making sure not to squeeze the brake lever. Once the
wheel is out you can fully loosen the bolts on the triple camp and slide
the fork tubes out of the triple clamps which will free up the headlight
brackets.
Do you have a video of actually removing the headlight brackets?
Hey Mike, I saw your other comment too? Are you looking to get the
headlight brackets out or is there something else you are referring to as
“fork ears.” I’m not familiar with that term. If you are referring to the
headlight brackets, I don’t have a video of that but… (See next comment)
yes, i was referring to the headlight brackets. one of mine is bent, and i
need to get it off so that i can either repair it or replace them both.
