I would take it back to the shop that did the work and have them check it. If that isn’t an option, tear it down and have a look yourself. Be sure that you are running the appropriate motorcycle wet clutch oil. I have had trouble with Amsoil motorcycle oil causing a perfectly good clutch set up to slip… Hope this helps….

i have a 2007 k7 1000. my problem if you can help is that it feels like my clutch is slipping but its not doing it all the time. do you think i need to replace the fibers and the steel plates or just one of them? the crazy thing is that i took my bike to the shop about 3500 miles ago and they put the clutch in, but i think they only put in new fibers and gave the steel’s an acid bath.

The design will be similar but I doubt the procedure will be exactly the same. Download a service manual for your make and model and it will have step by step. Use the video to help identify parts that are similar and you should be able to work your way through it.

nice video, I own 08 r1,wonder if replacement clutch would be different from gsxr?

pikey416 says:

Stack height is relative to the make and model. Most kits will provide you with the appropriate stack height requirements. If you are looking for a decent replacement clutch I recommend contacting Dwayne at Cycle Concepts (803) 285-8093. Tell him busdriver referred you and he will hook you up. Good luck….

You mentioned that they have a certain stack height. How important is it to get the right stack height? Do new clutch kits come with all the right parts to get the right stack height?

Thanks!

Thanks Bro…. 1.56 is really good… The Brocks Mod eliminates the bucking associated with the slipper/back torque limiter which is a common problem when trying to drag race that style clutch.. I am surprised you haven’t had any bucking episodes with that kind of 60’… Good luck and ride safe….

Nice video, now i need to install the brocks mod or at least weld it. I still have everything in there lol but still have managed a best of 1.56 60ft
