O ring size?

tperez838 says:

Is this the same for 2002 wrx?

WRXD says:

Check to see if you have bubbles in the PS tank if you do its a air leak in
the loop From what I learned over at NASIOC, the proper O-ring is10mm x
14mm x 2mm hope that helps

Mike Ehrmantraut says:

Thanks for yr video, I fixed my car this morning using yr video as a guide
🙂

tperez838 says:

What made you replace this? Did you have bubbles in your reservoir? Cause I
have bubbles and my power steering whines in the cold mornings?

Dominic Fong says:

Thank you very much for this video. I would never have known about it.
Instead of replacing the o-ring I just reuse the o ring and wrapped it with
3 layers of teflon tape. The fix made a huge difference to the whining
noise. Thank you again for this!

WRXD says:

@Dublr81 match it at autozone bag of o-rings hope it works for you

KrGsMrNKusinagi0 says:

might not be the PS that’s whining.. Could be a pulley, Timing belt
tensioner is common for the whinenoise when its going bad

WRXD says:

I would still replace it my o-ring split and can go into the fluid

Dominic Fong says:

There should be a way that we don’t need to replace the o-ring
periodically. This must be Subaru’s design flaw. First of all there should
be some kind of gasket on the mating surfaces. Secondly the part should be
secured by 2 bolts not just one. I’m thinking of putting a “flange sealant”
to make it permanent. Besides an o-ring should last for as long as the part
stays together. I am going to try it out and let you know!

WRXD says:

From what I learned over at NASIOC, the proper O-ring is10mm x 14mm x 2mm
hope that helps I would just buy the bag of o-rings easy

rawritsmat says:

WRXD says:

Scott Mercer says:

The OEM replacement O-Ring is part number 34439FG000. Should run about 2
bucks. Thanks for the how-to!

MrNismoSR20 says:

Thanks for this, gonna replace the o ring now.

WRXD says:

Hey guys I was looking at my wifes 2013 WRX and it has the same 1 bolt
oring setup I think

tperez838 says:

What bolt is it exactly

trophytr6c says:
