Nancy says:

I just put in new back half of exhaust, new tires, flushed radiator, transmission service and oil change. $1600…no car payment, low insurance, still runs great! 15 years old. I will be checking frame tho!

Pete Nowikow says:

If the car is paid for, that was an easy decision definitely fix it. Cars are ridiculously expensive these days and like you said three months worth of the car payment and hey it's paid off again

Tony's Hot Rod Garage says:

I couldn't agree more!

R. A. says:

Subaru is always worth it. As long as the frame/body isnt rotted. Thats why you clean your vehickes

Robert Bell says:

If the car has market value definitely yes, a repair is worthwhile. IMO even if the car has little value but is in good condition and otherwise dependable, an expensive repair can still be worth it. If you have a great car that's book value is $1000 but would cost $10K to replace, and it needs a $3000 transmission, I'd rather spend $3K than $10K.

Sj D says:

Thats a very fair price for the work. Most folks don’t have access to a good mechanic like this. I just went through simi,ar math exercise on my camry, 227 k just did struts, strut mounts , springs, control arm and sway bar bushings, tires, brakes . Similar cost of parts… I’ve got two kids in college hopefully i can go another 4 years to about 300 k…

Craig Crowley says:

That’s a great deal and a lot cheaper than buying a new car I would have done the same thing myself you actually save him dollars in the long run good job from an ex auto shop owner myself

Steele Wheels says:

When liberals outlaw gas because of the bullshit climate change lie, what then?

Jack Nasty says:

“Worth it” is completely relevant to the owner and no one else

martin schopf says:

deos anyone get parts powder coating its cheep and extends the life 10 fold i would have had the craddle done, plus i would have replaced the bolts rather then extract them, overall i guess it was worth it depending on what else is rusted through enjoyed the videos.

John-Del says:

I didn't see the video, but if the engine wasn't already rebuilt, I'd have scrapped it. If the engine was rebuilt or replaced, I'd fix it.

Bill P says:

Yep that’s how I do math plus you left out higher insurance for a newer car. It’s a no brainer for me

CarrsLLC Carrillo says:

I'm starting to witness more and more people going this route now instead of purchasing a new vehicle. Alot of it has to do with high prices, inflation, and this recession we are about to embark in…
So if it's logical to fix what you have and it cost less in the long run then buying a new vehicle, might as well do it.

Rick Martin says:

1700 that seems low , how many labor hours was the job,had to of been around 10 hours

Dan M says:

Hey Eric you know another month without a car payment is always probably a good thing.

J B says:

wow dude got a deal

Glenn Arksey says:

Keep up the good, honest work and don't worry about the haters who do not understand how important a good subframe is.

Kevin Campbell says:

Thats what I look at when evaluating what to do. Repair cost, How many years I may still get out of it and how much will a new vehicle cost.
