I'm a retired auto tech of 48 years with a racecar background. This video is the best instructional video I have seen. You definitely are very good at what you are doing. Thank you for putting this video and many others together.

Danny Tee says:

Great vids MRSUBARU, helped me isolate the problem with an XV i have here in Australia. Unfortunately Subaru Parts Deals dont ship internationally, another very similar name Subaru Parts Deal dont either. The latter did a kit version with all your parts & oil listed for a very reasonable price. Here's an example of how we're being royally shafted here in Aust, i've done the $ conversion for the valve body alone our local stealer asking $2,480 USD .. sad but true

Greg Hodges says:

Any tricks on removing a frozen cover. I can’t get mine to move.

The Gatekeeper says:

My wife's 2013 impreza sport just had all the lights on the dash light up while driving. Local garage diagnosed a weak solenoid in the valve body. They referred the replacement to the dealer. On contact the dealer quoted $1,900 for the valve body replacement and a total of $2,500 for the job. Only have 175,000 kms on the vehicle and have changed the transmission fluid twice. My wife drives very conservatively. Sorta pissed at Subaru right now. We had a mazda for 15 years that ran like brand new after 260,000 kms and is still running well and being driven by a family member. Never had any issues with that vehicle. Almost seems like Subaru are engineered to fail. We won't be buying another Subaru that's for sure.
