For "newer" Subarus (I have a 2019 Forester), the bleeding/flushing order is:
Front Right (Passenger side)
Front Left (Driver side)
Rear Left (Driver side)
Rear Right (Passenger side)
Alternative/Traditional: While some sources suggest the traditional "furthest-to-closest" (RR, LR, RF, LF), the factory service manual (FSM) specified above is generally recommended for modern Subarus with complex ABS routing.
Please correct me if I got it wrong.
Great video. I have stripped out brake bleeders by using 12 points so now I only use 6 point and I never force them. Its a real pain in the butt to deal with a broken bleeder.
is this model the same as the Matco that with the lever in one direction created a vaccum and on the oposite direction can pressure feed aswell?
At 2:22 you place the screen onto the dirty fender. Any dirt in the system is a bad thing. I know I'm being picky but I think it's important to avoid any debris in the brake system.
What do you clean lines and collector bucket out with after you are done?
Im doing my brakes soon, figured id upgrade rotors while im down there. Then i figured might as well go steel lines while im at it. And if im replacing the lines might as well do the fluid too. Car is 8 yo with 48k miles. Not sure of any previous brake maintenance. I dont want to do the flush tho.
Hi, I purchased o e of thes 7135 and tried to bleed the brake on my toyota tundra. No fluid would come out even when the reservois is full. The 7135 I can confirm is getting vacuum. What will be the cause for not being able to bleed the brake?
what is the proper brake bleeding sequence for a 2013 subaru outback, i am seeing several videos showing different methods ??? Please help, THANKS P.S. I have a Mityvac MV8000 vacuum bleeder will this also work?
As a hobbies I wish it wasn't so expensive. I'll stick to the old tried and true bottle and hose bleed. A bit more manual work but mostly almost free lol
IMHO, the easiest and best way to bleed autos is to use a pusher (alot of newer abs require a pusher over 20psi to get fluid pushed past abs pumps). I personally use a Motive pusher (also doesnt require a compressor if you dont have one). Compressor activated vacuum pullers have their place and I use them on my MCs. But for autos a pusher is the best way to go.
Do you have any idea why the 2019 Forester Service Manual says to start at the front? ("Perform in the order starting from the front RH → front LH → rear LH → rear RH."). I have never seen or heard anyone recommend that. It's always start at the bleeder furthest from the master cylinder.
need something like this for honda hrv 2020 but dont see much this one is not compatible on mine adapter cant seems to find any video on hrv doing this mostly hondas
What if you have no compressor
I have a 2007 and use this tool but it seems to have a lot of air in the fluid. I know some air bleeds around the threads of the screw, but ust seems excessive.. Car worked fine when I was done but Im confused. Also, does the ABS cause issues? Mine has ABS modules.. thanks
