What chassis should we put this engine into when we rebuild it?
I worked with cars for several years but nothing like replacing piston rings and seals. I got 2010 subaru forester 2.5l and I probably need to do that soon. I already got low compression on cylinder 4 @70psi. I didn't try the restore lubricant yet but if I try to rebuild the engine with new piston rings and seals and learning as I go with repair guide and some help… How long would it take me. I want to learn this stuff, do it right and use my subaru to learn it.

I want to rebuild a jdm ej205 for a knock possibly seized. would I need to get jdm parts or would I be able to use usdm parts?

have a bad miss on left bank on Subaru 01 forster JDM motor e25 just put in, put it on snap on machine everything right, crank sensor cam sensor, in gears right, changed injectors on it still misses, checking compression today, any thing else i could check or replace.
just put JDM e25 motor in Subaru 01 Forester, got it in has miss on left bank, put it on snap on machine, said it had bad wire repaced still a miss, replaced injectors, still has miss, got right sensors in gears are right, checking compression today, doubt its bent valve, can you think anything else it could be, frustrated
