Will a 2001 outback manual transmission work for 2003 forester? I know the cv's are different and would have to get outback ones. Those should work with the forester hubs too right? Any info would be great! Thanks!
Oh man, I’ve had this problem for 10 years out of almost 25.
So what would the issue be if its the opposites feels very stiff?like hard to move between gears
That roll pin is a bitch without the right tools
I replaced mine with a 20 dollar ebay one thinking it was a good idea and it broke in 3rd gear lucky while I was pulling into the school shop lol I had the welding teacher weld it for me till my oem one came it so to sum it up don't buy the ebay ones lol
Can't you just make your own bushings on drill press with a hard durable plastic? Cheaper and will last longer than rubber if it works. I haven't worked on them therefore I haven't seen them up close so I'm curious.
I had that issue but even more vague. Wasn't the U-joint, it was the bracket at the other end of the linkage had snapped off. Buddy at the shop forgot to put 2/3 bolts of it back on, and the stress killed it. 30 bucks later and it was good as new
Already fixed that and all the bushings that are rubber and it’s still sloppy
Duct tape and some Vaseline will fix that pro
Great memories of changing this on my 03 wrx, trying to get that roll pin out is a nightmare while it’s still in chassis
You can just buy replacement bushing from a company like Turn In Concepts for about $30
Where da hell are my "Never pay full price…" videos!?
