4.5psi? why even bother, just buy a wrx. stupid
where are you located?
@Egungon I do not have a web site yet… I am working on one.
@Nwrig004 Ok, first I am VP of Desired Edge Motorsports. If anyone wants a
kit I can put one together and send it to you but I need money up front so
I know your not dicking me around. I designed the kit with the stock cat so
no MIL. That is also why it sounds the way it does. The stock cat lowers
the efficiency of the turbo and changes the sound, But I am working on
buying a 05 STI header to put on and move the cat down stream of the turbo,
So there again no MIL. Nobody likes unwanted lights on
ima newb, but i know there not the same motors. thats why hes running like
3psi and a stock w has around 13 or 14. plus i think a wrx motor costs this
much and will also be serviceable.
really 1249usd woow that its about cost me just a cat back and with headers
about 1600usd cant belieeve
the safest for my car is a 6 psi but i run 8 on a 2.5i 09
Ouch! No UEL’s?
@yagenich Its takes a couple of weeks to get every thing. The cost is
roughly around 18-27 hrs. of labor and my labor rate $35.00 an hour.
Awesome conversion : D
Hey mate, where did you run your cooland and oil lines from?
yeah go un-equal length boxer sound ftw~!
kit looks good did you put a blow thru maf set up..as for intercooler thats
way too small man u need like a 28 X 11X3 its gona get really hot
quick..ai’m running 7 psi of boost on my 2.5i supercharged ride..its a
beast. a/f should be 12’s -13’s in boost..buy an cobb accessport they can
make u a map for free man..you’ll love it.
you should make a website showing people how to do it
if u knew n e thing about cars u would realize that it started as a 2.5 rs
and a wrx is thesame car just with a turbo and high insuance cost
good to c someone else has tried this i got a 2004 rs with a 20g n the same
cooler all hooked up just waiting for my computer to turn up tomorow coz
after 2.5 psi the computer realises their is too much air going in.. going
to try tune it to 8 psi n move the limmiter to 7000 see how it goes
@Koester95 So what’s all in the kit and how much (sans installation)?
do you see a significant difference. with no turbo and turbo cuz its only 4
psi
I have a Brumby with an EJ22. Would this kit be able to be adapted to this?
awesome sound, are you using equal length manifold?
Nice garden hose !
But then you’ll have to get a wrx xmember and a wrx waterpump with wrx
thermo housing
I came up with nothing searching for “Desired Edge Motorsports.” Got linky?
crank it to 6psi – it’s proven now the subies can easilly handle 6psi as a
daily drive… mine is supercharged and running 11psi (EJ201) on stock
internals and has been great for 80,000km so far
it still sounds like a non turbo. didnt you put un equal length header on
it????
I have to admit i eat every word of what I said to you. Also note that I
love Subaru’s and that kits looks clean! And the price WOW! my question is
how did you tune it ?? And you realizes there are literally hundreds of
people that want this kit??? What shop made the kit you better tell them to
make more. Awesome ! Did you get the Up pipe to mate to the stock 2006+ EL
manifold or a Borla Rep type manifold ????
not to hate i have a 98 wagon outback that ima 2.2 turbo but for 1300 bucks
you should have gotten something bigger then 3 psi shouldnt have you?
correct me if im wrong but thats what im thinking
hey can you make video how your Subaru runs with 3-4 psi ????
i want one! do you have a website?
Nice project. But 3psi or even turned up to 5psi sounds so low…
Nevertheless, would be good to see numbers before and after the turbo
upgrade.
@Nwrig004 I am also improving on the look of the kit. I dont like how the
Recit. pipe turned brown. So I am R&Ding a hard pipe instead. By the way
fuel system is a pain in the butt. The stock FPR is in the tank. Ok now to
answer your manifold Q’s. I used the stock manifold, no turbo sub-frame, as
you can see in the video I went up and down in the same hole. Last but not
last, I tuned it by adjusting fuel pressure under boost to get me in the
low 14’s and high 13’s A/R. Ideally you want 11’sor12s
@twodeadpoets The kit costs like I have stated before is $1249.99. Now that
is all turbo components(FMIC, piping, custom up&down pipe, wastegate, bov,
Upgraded intake pipe, All hardware, and boost pressure set @ 3Psi). That
does not include the Full Stainless 3″ exhaust, a turbo header, Fuel system
Upgrade, or Labor to install.
Im not trying to a dick but… why would you buy a non turbo, buy a kit for
a non turbo to make it a turbo, fit it or pay someone to fit it, upgrade
the brakes and everything to go with it??? why not just buy a turbo suby?
as i said though im not being a dick, im sure there is a reason to pay more
than double for one
just get stock wrx headers because those custom headers kills the boxer
rumble
i have an 01 outback, i want in intake like that which takes all the cavuum
lines. can you tell me where you got yours?
@VIsubby Hey thanks… Im not running a blow thur… Yes I know my cooler
is small I was going for setup and then upgrading to a 32x12x3… Would you
be interested in a drive vid? I see a lot of them of subie’s, but i would
only do one if there is Interest… let me know what you think.
@Nwrig004 I done a lot of math and as far as I can tell to get the ideal
A/F (not A/R its a long day) and about the 250-300 hp at the crank you need
a 600cc injector @ 65psi @ the rail steady, No pressure drops. By the way
the price is for all parts and for me to install. If you want a just a kit
I can only send some of the parts because a lot of the parts are custom to
the car. There are so many changes Subaru did in the last 10 years it would
be hard to make a kit work with out the car here.
its not the same thing man, its beta to buy a turbo stock engine
3-4 psi would be around 80-100 hp gain to the wheels, (faster than wrx and
slower than sti),
How do I buy?
