You missed a pretty big component – those instructions show what I briefly saw in your video was 5" back from somewhere in the front and 1.5" forward of the rear part of the sidebars.
Wondering if anyone has been able to put two Thule Hull a Port XT on each side to be able to carry two kayaks? I can do it on my CRV and the rails are similar but still gotta make sure.
Hey thanks for this, I have a 2020 Forester and the bars are exactly the same. Mine didn't come with instructions for some reason and I was so frustrated because the bar wouldn't go on. I didn't realize the FRONT was wider than the rear. lol
My 2019 both have Front with arrows pointing mine is the Asent . ops I unscrewed mine all the way . Mine have No instructions ,guess they figure real men never read the rules .
Did you follow the measurements on where to place them according to the directions? Fronts are 5 inches from the front and rear is 1.5 from the back? Which mud flaps do you have by the way???
Excellent installation video. What brand are your window rain guards? I just purchased a 2019 Premium Orange Crosstrek and I’ve been looking for a nice looking set of window rain guards. Thanks!
About how far is it from the roof rail to the end of the plastic parts toward the middle of the car? I'm trying to see how far toward the outside you can put a kayak j-rack.
Thanks Brandon!
can I intall a Thule Snowpack M onto these? I'd like to avoid buying the Thule crossbars because i already have the OEM installed

Good video! I'm trying to figure out if I trust the OEM's enough for a Tepui RTT. This convinced me a little more haha.
Mine have a stupid amount of wind noise.

Thanks for the video man. I was wondering if they left that in my trunk on accident
Aftermarket ones are $400!
How do I get the bars off? I unscrewed the screws but the bars don’t come off.

How do you lock these bars down so they are not stolen?
wondering if you have any whistling noise when you drive after you installed the cross bars – I just got a 2018 with oem already installed .
