Thanks,

Are there any vids on how to install the hid foglights on the 2008-10 model WRX?
They seem like tricky buggers to get at to change out….

cheers

Juan Cordero says:

dust covers are meant to prevent dust and ice build up. im guessing since we have projector lenses those are a prevention method for that. the hole drilling isnt too bad. just need a hole big enough to fit the wiring. takes 10 mins to do if anything and much more than tryna put the cover over the wires which ive done in the past cutting my wires or leaving them off… just my opinion

ks10308 says:

I have a question, are the dust covers necessary or will the headlight fog without them?

kimss1109 says:

can you upload installation video about Forester 09+ please~

Henry Nguyen says:

Oh and I tried using a relay too… Didn’t work either.

Henry Nguyen says:

Hey, I have a 11wrx and my xenon HID kit isn’t working right I don’t think. I have tried using other HID kits and it seems like the same problem happens to them too. Is it my car? My HID’s automatically turns itself off when I’m driving. Around every 5 minutes one or more HID bulbs(including fogs) shuts off. I’ve gotten two tickets because of them so I removed them and went back to my halogen bulbs which works just fine. I’ve searched everywhere for answers but can’t find any.

Alex Sohla says:

Hey i have a 2.5i model, just wondering will this work on a non wrx/sti?

Jesse Klingensmith says:

How do you install low beam lights into a 2008 subaru impreza 2.5i 4door?

AndyisCrunk says:

I have been looking left and right for a good “how to” video and this is the best one hands down! i have to find a grommet and im good to go, A++ video

lempira69 says:

Great Video! is there a video for HID fog light for 07 impreza?

Urbino237 says:

Really well done – congrats! Only thing: would you wear nitrile gloves when handling the bulb assembly – to prevent oils from our skin making contact? Or is that necessary?

I have the ’08 base model. It looks as though everything you did for your WRX would be the same for mine.

ssnake18 says:

do you have to drill a hole in the dust cover? im kind of paranoid when i have to drill something. so will there be any problem if i leave it off? thanks

michki22 says:

Can you guys show how to do this on 2007 subaru legacy

danwat1234 says:

Do you guys offer any 55w HID kits?

LazyBoiFreeStylez says:

Scott Schriver says:

hello i am just about to order a kit from you guys i have 2008 subaru legacy2.5i limited i tried getting a hold of you guys i called messaged you and got a ticket everything its taking forever but my question is for my car do i need a relay or no cause i noticed for this one you didn’t thank you

Adam Smith says:

Great video. I’m trying this next week on my 08 WRX, so this will help a lot. Thanks!

francocod4 says:

this video really helped me out and made me confident enough to also put on hid fog lights as well and it looks sweet!!!

77damitdave says:

Oh, and BTW…. I have a 2009 WRX…

77damitdave says:

Great video! Very helpful. A friend of mine paid to have his installed, and I was planning on doing the same. After watching your video, I’m more than up for installing them myself. The only question I have would be: Do you think I would require the a relay? I read somewhere about protecting the ballast, but of courseI cannot find where I read it. What do you think?

lenor42 says:

How do you know what size to drill?

Adrian Skywalker says:

I don’t want to be a stick in the mud, but the first thing you do when you want to tinker with the electrical bits is removing the battery negative lead.

Chris Berry says:

would this be similar for an ’04 Forester?

wonga619 says:

are there any other products u have that dont need to require to drill a hole into the dust cap? or any products that dont use the ballast? even with LED lights?

Derek Wang says:

Is there a difference between a premium and a regular ballast?

liquidsilver1941 says:

Awesome vid. Thanks again XS. This is my third set for obviously 3 different cars. They may cost a little more but the quality is top notch just like their service/support.

Jabbathewhat says:

Excellent video! I was on the line about doing the install myself, but after your descriptive install, I will definately be taking on this challenge. Keep up the great work.

Kasidit Nusitchaiyakan says:

can u post a video of how to install the HID kit with the harness and the capacitor for a subaru impreza 2009

XenonSupply says:

Is this a XenonSupply purchased product? If so, please contact us at Help(at)XenonSupply(dot)com for technical support. If this is not a XenonSupply product there are many reasons this could be happening. Defective ballasts that have become inefficient over time, or inadequate power being provided from your stock vehicle wiring etc.

we can suggest solutions if you contact us directly via email, or call us at 1-800-840-3240 ext3

Josh Berman says:

I have a 2011 impreza the low beams aren’t used as day time lights. So I wouldn’t need a wiring harness but sometimes when I turn them on they shut off and I need to give it some time before I can turn them on again. I found that if you turn the lights on before you start the engine they will work properly most of the time, but how can I fix these lights and get them to turn on an stay on?

XenonSupply says:

If your WRX uses daytime running lights on the low beam, you will need to use both the accessory wiring harness as well as the DRL capacitor to prevent flickering. If you click the link in the video description it will take you to the XenonSupply product page where you can purchase the kit as well as select the harness and capacitor necessary to install the kit with low beam DRLs.

If you have additional questions please let us know at Help(at)XenonSupply(dot)com.

Thanks,
XS Team

XenonSupply says:

For this installation, there is no modification to the battery terminal or any connection necessary. This installation demonstrations uses power directly from the stock connectors from the headlights themselves.

JODYLU2 says:

I have an ’07 Impreza, I’ve heard there’s something with the daytime running lights that I might need to disable before installing the HIDs, or something about the ballasts not being compatible. Any thing I should be worried about?
