Mike, im planning to get the Cobb SF Intake for my 2012 STi. If it get my
car Tune on a DYNO, do I really need an Access Port?? “Im not the type of
guy that makes a lot of changes for his car” About those Maps that you’re
talking about, “California & Arizona and stuff”, man Im from Puerto Rico,
could the AP have that Map??? (I was just wondering about the Map thing)

PBC Driver says:

quick question, first time user for cobb. i have a ralliart with only a CAI
and i upgraded the intercooler piping to evo x. my question is i would need
to flash it to stage 1 and thats it? i mean is there more to it? im only
looking to tune it so my engine isnt running lean or rich. kinda like what
you said im not going to go crazy with mods, im stopping at CAI, any help
or refer me to a site would be appreciated 😀

Chris Lee says:

If you can afford an accessport…then you can afford a legit tuner to tune
your car! Unless you don’t have any reputable tuners in your area, then
Cobb AP is the only way to go. From many Mitsu owners on the forums that
have a bad experience with AP. Most of them have a good reputable tuners in
their area…and at the end…they run to the tuners to get things fixed
and get stuck with something worthless. I’m not bashing on Cobb, just want
to make sure ppl understand don’t take tunes lightly…

SmurfinWRX says:

haha i know right

Kevin Albin says:

Solid write up Mike. What did you decide to do about the gold rims?

sniperviper21 says:

Do you think this Cobb AP would be worth its cost (a good noticeable
increase) on a stock 12′ WRX?

Tyler Greening says:

Okay, STi noob here, I plan on purchasing the Cobb SF intake and air box
combo… I also plan on buying a Cobb access port… now, Once i have the
Cobb installed, how would I know which map to select? And if i wanted to
throw on a SPT exhaust later on, would I have to change maps as well?
Thanks!

SmurfinWRX says:

you probably will be ok. AZ is apart of the ACN map. its not going to kill
your car if you do other wise. but bring those maps just in case =]

Keshav Kumar says:

Mac and Subaru for life! haha

ASUDevil21 says:

He just did it on a mac laptop, just do what he did.

ahmedsti1 says:

Very helpful. Who ever has a broken cobb access port screen which the cobb
works on the computer but when you connect the cobb to the car, the screen
is black. You can just do it blindly by looking at this guys step by step
process to tune the car blindly without the screen.

Larry Kuo says:

If I get the Cobb AP and install a BOV, will I need to get a pro tune then
or can I just run Stage 1 map?
