ZaqCapone says:

Wouldnt that Perrin intake elbow still cause the car to fail the visual inspection when smogged?

Mean Man says:

Also, tip from me to everyone… cardboard, what? Yeah, cardboard. What the hell is he talking about? Take that screw, bolt etc. grab a piece of cardboard, poke the screw/bolt etc. into the cardboard and feel free to label what it goes to or even make a drawing of where on the part…on the cardboard.

You're welcome.

Mean Man says:

But, but what about those of us that like stuff to look factory?

Vegaspsycho says:

Is funny that you're putting on a cold air intake and HKS Hi-power exhaust because when I bought my STI over 10 years ago I took off an Injen cold air intake and HKS Hi-power exhaust and put on SPT parts. lol gotta let people make their own mistakes, j/k
Good thing the turbo inlet has been replaced with a good aftermarket one because mine failed and destroyed my engine.
And like others had said you must replace the up pipe with one with out cats for the safety of the turbo if it hasn't been already; and be careful driving thru puddles with the new intake.

katana2076 says:

Why wouldn"t you take the wheel of for better access

muasboy says:

Dang! I rather have the ‘ram’ intake from oem hahaha.

Nice job though man!!!

steve kahn says:

1. You can’t drive it because it’s going to run lean
2. MRT says that the air intake take system of the Subaru is not restricted Until you go to a very big power so this is not a power mod in any shape or form.
3. Worst of all the location of that air intake is horrible because when you drive through puddles and do any kind of spirited rally driving or even drive in heavy rain water can get into it and kill your engine.

El Borrego says:

3 lifts and your on the ground!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

upgradedBACON says:

These actually already have a cold air intake factory. So the only advantage of the AEM kit is induction noise, and a larger air filter.

ackermanZ32 says:

Not sure why you are so concerned about carb when the 49 other states the VIP's live in don't give a shit about emissions. Also not sure why you wouldn't go Perrin intake to Perrin inlet pipe. That's just my two cents.
