HOW TO INSTALL A PERRIN OIL COOLER (2005 SUBARU WRX)

HOW TO INSTALL A PERRIN OIL COOLER (2005 SUBARU WRX)

In this episode, Mickey (@mickeyandrade) takes us through the install process of a Perrin Oil Cooler: http://store.throtl.com/perrin-performance/perrin-oil-cooler-kit/pspoil100/i-2207959.aspx – The PERRIN Performance oil cooler will reduce engine oil temperatures and extend engine life. Some engines do not have an adequate factory oil cooler and therefore runs hotter oil temperatures then other performance vehicles. The PERRIN oil cooler tames oil temperatures keeping them at a consistent 85-90C (185f-194f) where the engine makes the most power. Keep your HP consistent with a PERRIN oil cooler. Thank you to Perrin for sponsoring this video!

Brandon R says:

You can't go 1 horn, each horn is a different tone which need each other to sound properly

chinkysti2006 says:

Barbwalters says:

This channel is blowing up

Zach Halbur says:

Your mods added are definitely well planned out, can't wait to see what you add next.

Noah Samuel says:

Mickey i know you may not see this however, DO NOT USE THE BLUE SUBARU OIL FILTER ONLY USE THE OEM BLACK one, the blue one (even though it is oem is not up to par and will sacrifice the life of the engine). Please upvote so that he can see this.

Bless.

Anthony Ciccariello says:

It's coming along very nicely. You throttle guys are kicking ass

sizzlin pockets says:

If you plan on getting a fmic it would be cool to put the oil cooler up in the hood scoop

John Fish says:

Both horns should be kept, the reason that most cars have 2 is because each one has a different tone, creating dissonance which drastically improves the effectiveness. Plus they look really cool.

Adrian Car says:

Did you notice that the original filter on the car was a Mazda RX-7 filter (newer model)? Should have stuck with it. #TokyoRokifilters

tyson skidmore says:

To anyone at throtl which oil cooler is better this one from this video or the missimoto one?

Mammoth Puppy says:

these perrin parts are making the suub look like a civic. easiest installations ever.

Brad Rivera says:

How about using standoffs for the horn bracket.

gen3v8 says:

You need both horns They are High and Low (usually) and blast in harmony

Car Guy says:

Keep both horns, try and move the oil cooler please.

KoNLaR says:

Blackout the headlights next!

Aepek says:

Pretty slick install with those horns, I maybe woulda mounted them vertically if possible? Regardless, things look nice & tight.
Cheers, A

Jerry Wooton says:

Instead of bypassing the old oil cooler lines why don’t they just utilize those existing lines to run to the oil cooler eliminating the sandwich plate is there a reason I feel like the sandwich plate is a point for failure I’m just curious there’s lines for oil cooler there and they bypass it for there sandwich plate seems a little redundant I’m honestly curious for your opinion please enlighten me

Bryan Baez says:

I love the beard transitions 8:50

Riley says:

Leave the horns off. That shit looks ricey anyhow

RookieDrifter says:

For sake of engine life and bigger boost (also tidying the engine bay, because Subaru engine bays have always been too cluttered) are you all planning on installing a front mount kit?

Evan Dean says:

Nice work Mickey
