Hey my friend my belt squeals like this does this cause damage to engine

AverageAdam says:

Question. My 2015 3.6r outback is making a noise that is similar to this. I also thought it was coming from the belt. When I checked the tension, it wasn't loose at all. Is there any other reason why the belt would make the noise? Or is the noise is coming from somewhere else. Definitely sounds like it's the belt.

Martin Razo says:

Great video. I literally just did this to mine step by step. Noise is finally gone!

Wow thanks I’m going to try this I took it to the shop and they were trying to tell me it’s the timing belt and it was going to cost 1,000 to fix but I didn’t think it’s the timing belt because it doesn’t always make noise thank you!
