WHAT AM I DOING WRONG. I CAN’T FIND THE STEP THAT WILL GIVE ME THE CHUPA
CHAPS!!!!!!!!
HELP!
Good tip; thanks!
now about 04 forester xts lol
Thx so much, this saved me a lot of money by doing it myself!! Much
appreciated!
Just wish I’d checked around before I handed the Subie stealership $50 for
one though!
Thanks for the demonstration.
The cabin filter cost me $50 CAD, what a rip!
Tip for anyone else, its requires no screwdriver if you pop off the side of
the dash. It just pulls off and makes the job MUCH easier.
Similar location on that car.
I did this on my 11 WRX without a screwdriver (or trim mold tool) and you
only need to release the bottom part of the damper @ 0:34. The first time I
tried, I needed pliers (wrapped with masking tape so as not to scratch) to
squeeze the tab that secures the bottom part of the damper. Honestly, it
took me less than a minute to remove the glove box door with only pliers
(but I used this vid to find the “wings” I was looking for, so thanks!)
Just reach in and push the wing tabs to the middle.
I have a 2011 impreza and its in the same spot, thanks for the post. Its a
$70 job through my dealer, but just 30 for the part. Appreciate the post!
how do u know when its time for a new one?
Just check it periodically. We’d change it every 15000 miles, at the
minimum.
Thanks for posting this. Job is even easier on 2012 Impreza. Pull off lower
end of damper. Just need hands to squeeze right side of the glove box
toward center of car to unlatch it. Left side unlatches easily.
Is it in the same location for the 2ga 2gb Mitsu Eclipse-talon?
As a rally car it probably gets more off-road than the average car.
Considering the dirt parking lot at my work I was WAY over due for one.
I changed out the filter what a difference it is the original filter we
have 53k on the car it was so clogged up hardly any air was moving. Should
have done it long time ago.
