Ken resendez says:

You did a good job, but Dude! you used way to much siliecone, The sensor
uses the threds to ground with and if you have to much RTV it will not
ground. good video anyway.

Loys Eugene Carter says:

I hope you are still checking this cause I have a question. My legacy’s
gauge works fine but I have terrible hesitation until engine reaches
operating temp. No CEL and I read on a blog the CTS could be going bad, but
if it gives the gauge reading then would it be bad.

redgatesmodelling says:

Am I right that the sensor is a dual one – one circuit for the ECU/fans and
another output for the gauge? I’m not getting any MIL codes but the gauge
is stuck at “normal”, it goes down when the ignition is off, but even when
cold the gauge jumps straight up to normal …….

writerjmd says:

It’s a lot harder to get to it on our 95 Legacy. Tons of hoses and wires in
the way. This looks much easier.

fightingfalconfan says:

forgot the last step though, after installing the new sensor, you want to
bleed the air out..

joelyboyblue says:

thank you bro tis was immensely helpful-liked and subd!

djmedina85 says:

How do you bleed the air out?? I’m gonna install a new sensor on my 93
Subaru Impreza

BASS REBELJUGGALO says:

thanx, and i made this for ppl like you and me ,and the fact tht i have not
seen another video on how to do this

BASS REBELJUGGALO says:

uummm yes ,why?

BASS REBELJUGGALO says:

yes i had a code, but srry dont rember the code, but my temp guage wasnt
working the cooling fan stayed running and the ac wouldnt work until i
changed it

joeysrocks says:

I was told NEVER use blue RTV silicone on the coolant system. If it gets in
the system it causes problems. There is a specific type of sealant to use.
Or the teflon tape is best.

silverspec says:

Helped me find the sensor and remove it on my girlfriends 95 Legacy.
Thanks!

BASS REBELJUGGALO says:

your welcom

BASS REBELJUGGALO says:

what?

Empir3Music says:

are there 2 sensor ofr sender one under the alternator or just that one in
the video?

fightingfalconfan says:

I was taught by my automotive instructor that anytime you open the cooling
system up (excluding radiator/over flow/expansion tank) you have to bleed
the system out of any air pockets that have formed. You did a good job over
all; it’s just what I was taught.

BASS REBELJUGGALO says:

its not necessary you just top it off with coolent

writerjmd says:

@theferrisjuggalo My problem was the MAF sensor anyway. Took my temp sensor
out, checked it, and put it back in.

BASS REBELJUGGALO says:

its not necessary you just top it off with coolent

Jrdan N says:

WHAT YOU’re from Texas?

BASS REBELJUGGALO says:

@writerjmd yea there waz a bunch of stuff i had to move to get to this
one,ill be redoing this video shortly in more detail,

Arik H-k says:

Why did you change this out? Were you getting a code and if yes, what was
it?

donperry1 says:

crank position sensor under alternator
