Ian Bernardo says:

Hi I'm from the Philippines, I really like your videos, wish we have a mechanic like you here. Anyway, I'm planning on buying a volvo c30 2.4L 5 cylinders with 60000 km on it. Do you think this will be a reliable car?

Tejas Kumar says:

Hello Scotty! You are by far one of the most interesting person on internet. If you don't mind, then we would love to hear about your life. Your favorite life stories, your old pictures and may be a city tour with you of what and where you used to go or still go. Please!! And thank you for doing the good work!! best wishes!!

Opossy says:

Owner of 3 Subarus since 1982. Great cars all around. My current Subaru is a 2002 with 181,000 miles.

Ryan Mickels says:

I think someone threw back a few drinks before making this vid.
But yeah, you're guaranteed to need head gaskets on the 4 cyl. The 3.0 6 doesn't blow head gaskets.
Mine gets 18-20 city and 25-26 highway.

manny roias says:

Im sure if you do regular maintenance on it and drive the thing properly it would last just as long as a Toyota!

HunterShows says:

"Did I just buy a $100 Subaru? No. Now that the clickbait's out of the way, here's some anecdotes about Subarus!"

Alex Tate says:

Most people these day will drive anything with motor ,As the saying goes it better than walking ,If it runs i drive it till tires fall off and get me other cheap one , New ones 400.00 a month for 4 to 6 years forget that crap

Alex Tate says:

Detroit, Michigan, i won't my windows rolled up so i need AC ,and they be tinted

bobby midnite says:

Subarus, on the whole are great cars. I've owned a few, driven them to high miles, been happy with them.

Eric C says:

Thanks for finally doing Subarus. I love them. As for not much room to work on the engine we just pull the engine set it on the stand and work on them that way. ALWAYS changes head gaskets 100k miles

Aidan Montgomery says:

Sister had a Subaru Legacy Outback, 2.5 auto, little over 100k. Had it for a couple months, blew the head gasket and the transmission was on it's way out too, I know for a fact she didn't drive it hard or abuse it. Worst car purchase ever made.

Dave Slingbart says:

I must agree about the AC Compressors being small/weak, our new 2019 Crosstrek does not blow super cold. but my kid just got a used 2016 Fusion w/60k miles and the AC is like a walk in freezer.

Body of Truth says:

Your story confirms that the African savages have not changed much.

5150gino says:

I’m confused, here in Australia Subaru’s are known to be very reliable. If serviced correctly and on time most will do 400000km (250000miles). Yes some models where affected with head gasket issues, but all in all have a great reputation. The Subaru’s we got all where assembled and imported from Japan, could that be it?

Alex FromHouston says:

Anyone know where his shop is at? What part of Houston

elusivellama says:

Subarus are garbage.

Eric Fortune Jr. says:

A friend of mine has 98 Outback H4 5 speed manual and it has 400,000 miles on it. No major issues, he beats it up, the suspension is shot and the body is pretty beat up too. These older Subarus with the manual transmissions are bulletproof. Some of the automatics are too.

Kentucky Outback says:

You really hate Subaru's, don't you…

Richard Head says:

I wish i had a trunk full of puppies lol

Mike Wu says:

I have the exact same 05 3.0R LL Bean in grey. 3.0L H6, 5 speed automatic. It's been fairly reliable, granted I bought it used with 150k miles and now has 179k miles on it.

rdg091 says:

I pray that I will be able to purchase a car this cheap 100.00 dollars.

dogenet says:

I have that same car same year same color but not LL Bean version. I get 30-35 highway, 25 city, and have put nearly 200,000 on it without a single problem (except the time some mechanic screwed something up.) automatic trans. it was built in Indiana. I live in the New Mexican desert. AC works like a champ, better than any of our other cars, never had to recharge. only time I’ve known Scotty to sort of miss the boat.

Bradly Patterson says:

Lol my 2012 v6 accord coupe 6mt is 3400lbs

Walking Journey says:

Scotty Kilmer you are aware that Toyota owns Subaru? Maybe you should call someone at Toyota to put the Toyota engines in the Subaru, Just saying.

stevest1300 says:

1992 Subaru Legacy: intermittent slipping transmission at about 50,000 kms. 1997 Subaru Outback. Blown head gasket at 180,000 kms. Never again. Scotty knows his stuff.
