when i remove the first bolt from the bottom of the strut i always tie the bastard to the suspension through the bolt hole

Barton Courcier says:

How do you get the ball joint stud back into the lower control arm. The strut spring is now fully extending the knuckle and the tip of the ball joint stud is 2 inches below the lower control arm. I can’t pull the control arm down far enough to clear the BJ stud. tried to lift the hub higher with a floor jack but it just pulls the knuckle out and away from the LCA. I have just pulled the motor and replaced the head gaskets and this is the worst part of the whole job.

This apply to a 2006 Wagon? (2.5i)

Autotechviewpoint says:

the oil seal, are you talking about the seal in the transmission where the CV shaft goes through? Then you mean the bearing in the transmission behind the seal? Honestly do not know, have never done a transmission bearing like that, or transmission bearing at all.

02mp9696 says:

How about the stub shaft bearing, on the pass side. While taking the oil seal out, can that bearing also be removed from the outside ?
