I’m really not sure what you’re describing. Unfortunately (or, rather,
fortunately for me), I haven’t had to delve that deep into automatic
transmission issues.

Frank Murphy says:

Good video! I hate rust!

MercedesDieselGuy says:

Well, belated happy birthday, then!

MercedesDieselguy, I am having a problem with my 1995 subaru legacy l. The
torque converter solenoid is going bad. At first the check engine code
would go bad only if i went past 60 and at some let go of the gas. Today i
was braking and going about 20 mph and the rpm went to 1 rpm and you could
feel the downshift take long and it felt off. So do you have any videos
about changing a torque converter (clutch) solenoid??

soulshinobi says:

This was not “A very specific amount of rust.” This was “A very Subaru
amount of rust.” Currently driving mine with the heads of the bolts missing
too.

Michael Sackstein says:

@MercedesDieselGuy thanks! I guess this wasn’t such a fun job dealing with
these wheel bearings?

abstractthought88 says:

***would only come out if i went past 60 mph and at some point let go of
the gas and let it decelerate.

MercedesDieselGuy says:

One of the worst, but do-able.

sun and moon says:

how hard to install the new ball joint back

MercedesDieselGuy says:

As do I. But, it’s a fact of life around here.

MercedesDieselGuy says:

Not too bad. It more or less just slides in with some persuasion.

Michael Sackstein says:

July 14th, oddly enough that’s my birthday!
