Yeah – all good now.
did you have to replace the alternator on this car?
Although they looked good, the straps on my 95 Legacy squealed too, when
cold. It ceased after replacing them. Mystery. I’m always surprised to see
what mechanics can do to get the job done asap and collect the money. I had
an alt replaced on a Mazda mpv while on a long trip. It broke again within
a month, then I saw that they cut metal from the engine to give space to
reinstall the part and they did not put the water shield nor one of the
mounting bolts.
did you replace it
Crap like that is why I stopped paying mechanics and started doing all my
own work.
