No special tools. Pop the hatch over the fuel pump and disconnect the
electrical connector. Then try to start the car. If it does start, it’ll
sputter and die. Fuel pressure then relieved.
The one I bought was the in-tank filter. I took it back and bought a bottle
of fuel system cleaner and engine oil, made $39.50
I have a MY2002 Liberty RX 2.5 (I’m Australian so there might be some
differences) and I bought a fuel filter for it and I’ve found it doesn’t
seem to have one, even though my Gregory’s repair manual says all 2004 and
earlier 4 cyl non-turbo Libertys have one same as yours. Is there another
place they could be located apart from the in-tank filter & pump assembly?
I have no idea. That’s a third generation car, though, which I don’t have
access to. Very odd that the repair manual indicates one and you don’t have
it.
Thanks, man. This car is now gone, but we have two more 1995 Legacies at
home, so the videos will continue.
I’m not sure, but it’s so quick and easy to relieve the fuel pressure that
I absolutely recommend doing it.
good cause i could use them lolol
– Can you just take the lines off like that or do u need to relieve the
fuel preasure? I feel like my legacy has lost a bit of power, i’m thinking
of cleaning out the intake inlet
iv watched all ur videoss they help me so much with my 95 legacy same color
and everything lol i even used ur video to assite in changing my cylinder
head lol
How do you relieve the fuel pressure? Do you need any special tools or
anything? Thanks for the great videos, my ’96 Legacy thanks you.
